For those that are not used to this crap, I can just say a few things : if you buy this, then let it go up (if possible ) and then get out !, those that are in : dump this....why punish yourselves on a ridiculous stock....even if you are at a loss : realise this loss (unless you are in an Isa), and then buy something sensible, some of the other blogs above don't make sense ....so buy...it goes up ...get your little bit of profit and then into something that you will not be so worried about !.

Anyone know the name of the biggest pub chain within a square mile of the location of next years AGM, as reading the previous posts, I can't fail buying shares in such a company. Bye Ek, sum booze must hav bin suped last 2 nites.
But seriously, thanks re all the AGM reports, and I hope your hangovers are not too bad.

PATISEAR - 29 Apr 2008 10:08 - 26471 of 27111

Mad Pad

Thanks to you all for your AGM reports, they are most appreciated.

Can you confirm from your post:
'A few more facts1)Capacity of Biotec running at 24//7 12,000 to 20,000 tonnes per annum,Paul couldn't be closer than that.'

Are Biotec actually running at capacity 24/7?
Thanks.

bhunt1910 - 29 Apr 2008 10:32 - 26472 of 27111

Patisear - Paul was quite vague as he said it depended on a number of different things - and that although they now had the ability to run 24/7 - they are not actually running 24/7 so difficult to estimate throughput ,but capacity was somewhere between 12 - 20 kilotonnes and I think he said that current production was running at approx 3 kilotonnes. - so plenty of room for expansion

bhunt1910 - 29 Apr 2008 10:34 - 26473 of 27111

John - the pleasure was mutual - hope you have a good trip back home - its a long way to come for an AGM. - but it is good to see the whites of their eyes.

On a sober note for a moment.
2+ years ago, the SP was stupidly high. This was based on Starpol perhaps having a future and Greenseal having trials with Asda and one or two others. It was also based on a very optimistic view of the company.
Now the SP is less than 5% of what it was then, the company has a better management, more cash (?), many more trials, production and sale of Starpol (Bioplast), a partner actively marketing Bioplast tubes, but a very pessimistic view of the companys history. Arguably, the SP is fixing into an uptrend.
Fair enough, shares have been diluted, but the comparisan makes one stop and wonder.
Am I buying more? More chance of me being elected London mayor, but I feel more confident than any time in the last 2 years.

bhunt1910

Thanks.

Mad Pad - 29 Apr 2008 12:53 - 26476 of 27111

As BHUNT said Paul couldnt give a closer figure than he did probably because the plant has never yet been run 24/7.

waveydavey - 29 Apr 2008 13:21 - 26477 of 27111

as i'm barred from PM's site would some one be so kind as to post what 12-20k tons of bioplast is worth.
i thank you in advance.
Have stopped worrying about the sp.
well almost.

waveydavey - 29 Apr 2008 23:29 - 26478 of 27111

Apologies if this is wrong.
Please feel free to enlighten me and put the record straight.
Re my question above I found an old masterson tread (sorry) that stated profit per ton was about 2000. that would give a profit of 30M on 15k output.
50% to SEO.
Is this right .....or am i dreaming/wrong.

Mad Pad - 30 Apr 2008 09:27 - 26479 of 27111

Yes, but current production is only 3,000 tonnes, sales had better get on the case.

dealerdear - 30 Apr 2008 10:40 - 26480 of 27111

Oh dear! Back to 0.2p?

The problem with PM saying he won't announce every contract win is the sp will be very negatively impacted. Whilst it is commendable that he doesn't want to con the market in any way and therefore to keep a straight bat, it is in the company and shareholder interests that the sp recovers as much as possible particularly if a fund raising is needed in the future.

BTW many thanks for all the feedback from the AGM. Appreciated.

blanche - 30 Apr 2008 11:40 - 26481 of 27111

Big support level here at .65 if it goes through that then we could be looking at .4`s

waveydavey - 30 Apr 2008 13:29 - 26482 of 27111

thank you madpad.
i pickeed that number as its somwhere between 7-20.
even at 7k tons there would be enough cash generated for break even?
so a lot happier.
pmines is now only a nob.

jimward9 - 30 Apr 2008 14:01 - 26483 of 27111

Thank you all who have posted from the AGM, as i could not attend myself.
Everything much as I expected, even this drop in the share price.
What i have read gives me back the confidence in this company, that we all had two years ago.
My average on these is still 1.9p, if the price drops to .5p I will be adding to bring average below 1p, and this time next year expect to be back in the black.

oblomov - 30 Apr 2008 16:06 - 26484 of 27111

jim,

'What i have read gives me back the confidence in this company, that we all had two years ago.'

My confidence has fallen all the way from 28p, and the AGM didn't do anything to restore it.

Why so much confidence? I'd love to feel the same. Have I missed something? Convince me. PLEASE!

oblomov - 30 Apr 2008 16:07 - 26485 of 27111

PLEASE!

PATISEAR - 30 Apr 2008 16:23 - 26486 of 27111

Stop begging.
Now get off your knees.

greekman - 30 Apr 2008 17:04 - 26487 of 27111

The best way to look at Stanelco's SP and to any form of stock market dealings are to liken it to sex and marriage.
On your wedding day you sort of buy into the concept, listening and believing into all the hype, you know, the promises of Jam (or for the perverted, chocolate spread, whilst wearing French maids outfits, and the like) tomorrow.
Things are fine for a while with both the SP and the sap rising at regular intervals, then as you start to take the never ending platitudes (RNS's) for granted, things start to change. The SP and the *** starts to drop for no apparent reasons.
Releases become fewer and at less regular intervals with what to start with are believable excuses (of the type,I have a headache-the trial results have been delayed), till eventually you look forward with desperation to that rare movement upward, (use your imagination on that one, I don't want to be banned).
After a few years your investment becomes tired and limp, you loose interest, harboring thoughts of getting out altogether, looking at putting your 'interests' into something else, but not having enough bottle just in case things get back to how they were.
But eventually thoughts of ditching the initial single type commitment and spreading it around, look more and more appealing until you suddenly realize that first leap was taken in haste and that next time you will take more time before diving into something that may just fade away into just a shadow of what once was.

The above analogy was triggered by PATISEAR's "Stop Begging, Now get off your knees" post.
It never works, in marriage, never tried it re SP movements.

hewittalan6 - 30 Apr 2008 17:16 - 26488 of 27111

A fine work, Greek.
Wonderful prose that brought a lump to my...............throat.
And very funny (and aposite).
