As BHUNT said Paul couldnt give a closer figure than he did probably because the plant has never yet been run 24/7.

Apologies if this is wrong.
Please feel free to enlighten me and put the record straight.
Re my question above I found an old masterson tread (sorry) that stated profit per ton was about 2000. that would give a profit of 30M on 15k output.
50% to SEO.
Is this right .....or am i dreaming/wrong.

Oh dear! Back to 0.2p?
The problem with PM saying he won't announce every contract win is the sp will be very negatively impacted. Whilst it is commendable that he doesn't want to con the market in any way and therefore to keep a straight bat, it is in the company and shareholder interests that the sp recovers as much as possible particularly if a fund raising is needed in the future.
BTW many thanks for all the feedback from the AGM. Appreciated.

thank you madpad.
i pickeed that number as its somwhere between 7-20.
even at 7k tons there would be enough cash generated for break even?
so a lot happier.
pmines is now only a nob.

Thank you all who have posted from the AGM, as i could not attend myself.
Everything much as I expected, even this drop in the share price.
What i have read gives me back the confidence in this company, that we all had two years ago.
My average on these is still 1.9p, if the price drops to .5p I will be adding to bring average below 1p, and this time next year expect to be back in the black.

jim,
'What i have read gives me back the confidence in this company, that we all had two years ago.'
My confidence has fallen all the way from 28p, and the AGM didn't do anything to restore it.
Why so much confidence? I'd love to feel the same. Have I missed something? Convince me. PLEASE!

The best way to look at Stanelco's SP and to any form of stock market dealings are to liken it to sex and marriage.
On your wedding day you sort of buy into the concept, listening and believing into all the hype, you know, the promises of Jam (or for the perverted, chocolate spread, whilst wearing French maids outfits, and the like) tomorrow.
Things are fine for a while with both the SP and the sap rising at regular intervals, then as you start to take the never ending platitudes (RNS's) for granted, things start to change. The SP and the *** starts to drop for no apparent reasons.
Releases become fewer and at less regular intervals with what to start with are believable excuses (of the type,I have a headache-the trial results have been delayed), till eventually you look forward with desperation to that rare movement upward, (use your imagination on that one, I don't want to be banned).
After a few years your investment becomes tired and limp, you loose interest, harboring thoughts of getting out altogether, looking at putting your 'interests' into something else, but not having enough bottle just in case things get back to how they were.
But eventually thoughts of ditching the initial single type commitment and spreading it around, look more and more appealing until you suddenly realize that first leap was taken in haste and that next time you will take more time before diving into something that may just fade away into just a shadow of what once was.
The above analogy was triggered by PATISEAR's "Stop Begging, Now get off your knees" post.
It never works, in marriage, never tried it re SP movements.

One thing from monday - The Chairman said they would be reporting to us 4 times a year under the new rules. The next being the Interims. [up to June 08 - expect Sept?]
Are there the rules now?

I'm a long way from break even and reading various comments on the other side I'm tempted to average down. Long term holders feel that the co. still has plenty of cash, possible multi deals v. close, better more trustworthy management so may slowly rise through this year. so it's hold for a few more years or try to trade out of the losses-----decisions -decisions!

If Mines is reporting to us 4 times a year why did he push the price up to 1.2 with the RNS of the 28th of Febb.: "Stanelco Welcomes Media Debate on Plastics and the Environment " and then release a much sober AGM trading statment on the 28th of April which is bringing the price down to 0.5 - 0.6.

This is not the Old SEO, althougfh we have long memories of distant promises.
I think Management is trying to be serious - with their public discussion attempts.
However, this also shows a problem has yet to be addressed....namely that there is no active market in bio-plastics ( and I'm not entirely sure what it IS they are making, so much for their shareholder relations!).
Plastics are used in almost every product - it's a small part of the whole product cost, so there is little economic demand to reduce content. (yes I know the costs are rising....but so are alternatives!).
Also, Designers understand plastics ...and so do their suppliers . . . . It's like difficult to change the direction of a stampeding horse . . . . so I'm suspicious that we'll see a year of unchange . . . . then in '09 this Management will be under pressure to deliver...thro' 2010.
- However, there is always a risk of a Rights Issue ( or worse, a Placing!).
Earlier management had done [SEO] retail investors very badly and I'm surprised they were not ousted long ago . . . . at least now there is a whiff of realism; but that alone does not make it successful.
antofelli:
FWIW -The matter of conflict-RNS is a result of Management not being entirely in control of events, due to the short-timing. . . . . it must improve....
others:
IMHO, I suspect there is still time to Av. Dn . . . . and suspect we could see 20:1 CONsolidation AND a rights issue just to be sure, you see.
but what do I know? At this level it is a condidate for AIM . . . . Oops!

Paul mines said that their advisors have recommended against a share consolidation. I guess that does not necessarily mean that they will take that advice - but I got the impression it was off the agenda
