Greek. LOL
One thing from monday - The Chairman said they would be reporting to us 4 times a year under the new rules. The next being the Interims. [up to June 08 - expect Sept?]
Are there the rules now?

I'm a long way from break even and reading various comments on the other side I'm tempted to average down. Long term holders feel that the co. still has plenty of cash, possible multi deals v. close, better more trustworthy management so may slowly rise through this year. so it's hold for a few more years or try to trade out of the losses-----decisions -decisions!

If Mines is reporting to us 4 times a year why did he push the price up to 1.2 with the RNS of the 28th of Febb.: "Stanelco Welcomes Media Debate on Plastics and the Environment " and then release a much sober AGM trading statment on the 28th of April which is bringing the price down to 0.5 - 0.6.

This is not the Old SEO, althougfh we have long memories of distant promises.
I think Management is trying to be serious - with their public discussion attempts.
However, this also shows a problem has yet to be addressed....namely that there is no active market in bio-plastics ( and I'm not entirely sure what it IS they are making, so much for their shareholder relations!).
Plastics are used in almost every product - it's a small part of the whole product cost, so there is little economic demand to reduce content. (yes I know the costs are rising....but so are alternatives!).
Also, Designers understand plastics ...and so do their suppliers . . . . It's like difficult to change the direction of a stampeding horse . . . . so I'm suspicious that we'll see a year of unchange . . . . then in '09 this Management will be under pressure to deliver...thro' 2010.
- However, there is always a risk of a Rights Issue ( or worse, a Placing!).
Earlier management had done [SEO] retail investors very badly and I'm surprised they were not ousted long ago . . . . at least now there is a whiff of realism; but that alone does not make it successful.
antofelli:
FWIW -The matter of conflict-RNS is a result of Management not being entirely in control of events, due to the short-timing. . . . . it must improve....
others:
IMHO, I suspect there is still time to Av. Dn . . . . and suspect we could see 20:1 CONsolidation AND a rights issue just to be sure, you see.
but what do I know? At this level it is a condidate for AIM . . . . Oops!

Paul mines said that their advisors have recommended against a share consolidation. I guess that does not necessarily mean that they will take that advice - but I got the impression it was off the agenda

given the number of disposeable dvd's that litter my desk in their cases, all of which end up in the bin.
I quite like the idea of it all being disposeable. I wonder if they can make AOL BROADBAND dvds as well. As their natural habitat is my bin.

"This RNS IS ABOUT 8O MILLION SHARE OPTIONS FOR PM AND HIS CRONIES."
Yes, but there are conditions attached to how they can exercise them, linked directly and immutably to increasing the SP to between 1p and 2.5p over the next 10 years when they expire (from memory) - not linked to turnover or some arbitraty calculation of operating or adjusted net profit, but to the SP itself.
If the SP can be increased from today's 0.7 to 2.5p over the next, say, 5 years, notwithstanding the possible dilutive effect of the options themselves being exercised, that is 29% pa compound return - pretty good - they are welcome to their options. Even over 10 years it's 13.5% pa compound, plus almost certainly dividends by then to be reinvested - better than most pension funds.
If they fail, they can exercise many less options, if any. Seems a fair enough incentive plan to me.

Stockdog maybe I am an old fashioned investor but I think share options should be linked to profitability not temporary blips in the sp.

A test of Mr Mines honesty and sincerity.
He said no RNS unless it was significant. "When full lorries were leaving the warehouse", or something.
Marketing trials have been successful.
Allow the board to assess the impact on financial expectations.
These parts give me hope.

Looks like SEO are recouping some cost of their investment in pilot plant...maybe?! unless its the next generation GS machine!
