Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Micap plc announces the grant of its first pharmaceutical licence. SkyePharma
plc will use the Micap(TM) microencapsulation technology for up to 10
pharmaceutical products.

Micap plc ('Micap') (LSE:MIC), the UK technology licensing company specialising
in the microencapsulation of active ingredients within yeast cells, today
announces a major development in its pharmaceutical business.

SkyePharma plc ('SkyePharma') (LSE:SKP), the UK-based developer of drug delivery
technologies for the pharmaceuticals industry, has exercised an option to
acquire an exclusive licence to use Micap's patented microencapsulation
technology. This allows SkyePharma to use Micap's technology for the delivery of
hydrophobic drugs in up to ten nominated pharmaceutical products ('Option
Products') to be selected by SkyePharma.

Under the terms of the agreement SkyePharma will make an initial payment to
Micap of 500,000 and ongoing royalties will be payable by SkyePharma to Micap
on sales made, or licences of, any Option Product. SkyePharma will make
milestone payments on the first successful completion of Phase II and Phase III
clinical trials and also on the first commercial launch of an Option Product.

Michael Brennand, CEO of Micap, said: 'The granting of our first licence for
pharmaceutical applications of our technology is a significant milestone for
Micap. The commitment shown by SkyePharma is a major validation of our
microencapsulation technology. We look forward to progressing the relationship
through clinical trials and product launches. '

Michael Ashton, CEO of Skyepharma, said: 'We are pleased with our relationship
with Micap. In January last year we agreed to evaluate the application of the
Micap microencapsulation technology to the delivery of hydrophobic drugs.
Following pre-clinical evaluation of the Micap technology in both oral and
topical drug delivery applications, we have now decided to exercise our option.
This will enable work to continue on a number of candidate Option Products,
which we must nominate by the end of March next year. The Micap technology
further expands our growing range of drug delivery options.'

Micap has agreed to assist SkyePharma by continuing to offer specialist support
in the encapsulation of certain pharmaceuticals up to 30th June 2004. Thereafter
all ongoing costs related to the research, development and commercialisation of
the Option Products shall be borne by SkyePharma.

Hi Scottie, dont give one jot if they do, theres plenty of that talk about but beleive me from what Ive heard no action. Im in these all the way up from the 50s so I guess if they were to take a bath, which I dont think they will do im still well in the dosh.

I conceed these things happen though but Im a well laid back type of chap who doesnt panic. Nerves of steel scottie, that reminds me must have a few more bob on Corus. Good luck.

nematode, as with any share it is healthy to have a balanced view, so that any newcomers to share dealing don't get taken to the cleaners. Comments like piss-off don't really add much quality to the debate. Corus would appear to be a much better bet right now.

well i had them at 67p ..more at 70p some at 50p placing and then sold them at 120p ..then saw the last weeks antics by the mm's .. i am very postive about the coming days and 8th march esp.. i think the annoucement that was due out last week vll b released then .. i do not wish to say anything further in fear of being labelled a ramper etc.. which i have no intentiton of doing .. needless to say based on my own conviction i have brought back into them at 140p today and this is on a short term view ..however i vll be prepared to hold on to them over long term if reqd..

this is what i have done and why i have done it.. i don't want anyone to construe this as advice to buy ..as i am sure we are all adults and we can make our own decisions and spend our money the way we feel suits us best..

which ever way u look at this one, short term -longterm.. it is looks like a winner ..i vll post again around the 8th march ..if i am correct in my assessment then we should see this stock trickling up daily in the coming days ..

Just holding it's own before the firworks fly.I expect alot of buying towards the end of the week particularly Friday in anticipation of what's to come on Monday.......gee I'll have to take time off from work on Monday!!!!

Still holding up well nems. Looks like the day traders have more pressing things over on the retail decisions thread. Bt the way that one will become a buy after the sell off probably in a day or twos time.

There is still too much "hot" money in these to consider them as a long term investment at this time imo.

Maybe when they settle down in a week or so , who knows ?

I saw a post on another bulletin board by a bloke who should remain nameless, he expected the results to be flat, but that didn't matter in his opinion! I'm going now before nematode tells me to p*** off again.

I Dil Scottie, who knows lets face it the stock market ceases to amaze me. Im sure seasoned pros like you have a valid point, which I dont subscribe to.

Just hoping when I cash in my chips I have 850,000 capital, working on my holding and that only includes a 10% projected rise on any news.

But like I have said before if things go pear shaped no problems, I conceed that they can, but so what, just look at those poor devils in Iraq yesterday, there are far more important things in life.

Just going to put on my kalma music and kneel on my cushion.

i agree with you gf. i bought into this stock recently and have been tearing my hair out wishing i had bought sooner . but after yesterdays events............ puts it into perspective

Heard rumours that the placing will take place Monday at between 1.15 to 1.20 which is a good price

janus rumours where from,be a bit more specific.What chance for some contract news tomorrow morning!!!!!Anybody any ideas??Just asking the question not making a statement before people get on my backs!!!!

Market chatter said the group, which has a market capitalisation of 143m, will unveil plans for a fund-raising alongside its full-year results on Monday. It is thought house broker Collins Stewart will be involved in the placing of 10m worth of stock to fund an acquisition.
