Interims now not until August.
Will visit back closer to then.
It's nice to have a life outside of SEO.
Best Regards to you all, especially you OB- I know you can't stay away.
:-)

Not fully giving up yet but according to MFF the last 4 USA funds that owned SEO stock have now all sold.

kimoldfield - 03 Jul 2008 13:10 - 26568 of 27111

Is this, as Europe sang, "The Final Countdown"? Or do we believe in miracles, fairies and that Gordon Brown and his Darling are doing a good job?

Answers on a postcard (obviously not from a fantastic Caribbean island unless you invested in something else) to Mr Mines & co.!

greekman - 03 Jul 2008 14:02 - 26569 of 27111

Just prior to seeing Kim's post was thinking the same on seeing todays sp drop. We were told that the new board would be far more prudent in it's press releases and would not 'spin' like the old board was renowned for, a policy I'm sure we all agreed with.
But it appears that prudence has turned to utter silence.
On reading between the lines of what the present boards comments were, IE 'if nothing is happening then we will keep quiet' leads me to believe just that.
Silence may be golden but NOTHING IS HAPPENING, so I finally feel SEO is dead in the water.

moneyplus - 03 Jul 2008 14:17 - 26570 of 27111

I tend to agree unfortunately but as results are due in August we may see a flicker before then!

kimoldfield - 03 Jul 2008 15:08 - 26571 of 27111

So, after August we could be either flicked or flucked?!

Perhaps, for the time being, I will consider that sometimes "no news is good news". Hohum, ever the optimist!

greekman - 03 Jul 2008 15:42 - 26572 of 27111

As Confucius says, 'Before any flame dies, there is always a last flicker'.
In truth, I made it up but I'm sure someone said it sometime.
Poor old Confucius, he gets the blame for everything.
I wonder if ever he was a CEO in Stanelco, or does it just feel they have been dredged up from the distant past, or perhaps it's just that the current sp is in the
5th/6th century value.
After all the current sp is now less than a groat (1 groat = 4 old English pennies or 5 Stanelco Shares).
I feel Jack (of the beanstalk fame) cut a better deal with his broker when he got his 5 magic beans for his cow.
Anyone give me 5 beans for this cow (of a share) has a deal.
OK back to being a normal, sensible SEO holder I suppose.
Must get some more of those anti depression pills the psychiatrist gave me.
Apologies to all for my ramblings, just been re-calculating my share portfolio movement over the last 6 months. It does not make pleasant reading.
The current state of play re the markets is enough to make anyone crack up.
If you don't laugh, you will cry.

Footnote. Kim, who the hell is Hohum, and what's he got to be optomistic about.

kimoldfield - 03 Jul 2008 15:50 - 26573 of 27111

The younger sister of Confucious Greek!

dealerdear - 03 Jul 2008 15:54 - 26574 of 27111

If you've got any spare anti-depressant pills ...
Mine is as bad ....

FWIW I think SEO is just following all the other shares in moving southwards.

Don't think it is a reflection that 'bust' is necessarily round the corner.
Wouldn't be surprised for it to go back to .2p then we'll just have to wait.
Where there is life ...

kimoldfield - 03 Jul 2008 15:57 - 26575 of 27111

Where there is life......there is something biodegradeable?!

greekman - 03 Jul 2008 16:00 - 26576 of 27111

Where there's life....There will always be someone trying to screw it out of you.

It certainly doesn't sound like a business on its last legs.

greekman - 04 Jul 2008 16:06 - 26581 of 27111

The above may be good news or not (IE no pricing mentioned) but this news was released April/May last. There does not appear to have been much positive sp effect.
Not knocking it, just stating a fact.

PATISEAR - 04 Jul 2008 16:36 - 26582 of 27111

greekman

Hi greek
It is this April/May.
Same as this; http://stanelcoplc.com/pdf/news/etray_Modo.pdf

greekman - 04 Jul 2008 17:36 - 26583 of 27111

Hi Patisear,

Yes, I think so because other items on the same site refer to being displayed at EXPO 2008 that started on June 14th.
Although there are no dates evident re the article on the Modo tray piece.

We said goodbye to greenseal a while ago.
Are we going to say goodbye to Stanelco golden share in Biotec regarding the MAP?
