Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority is expected to say backbench MPs' £66,000 salaries should rise to over £70,000 after the next election.
I assume this is someone's idea of a joke.

Reduce their number of MPs.
Stop outside, or second jobs other than "writing and media appearances".
Stop candidates standing for election until they have 10-15 years experience of "non-political" work in "society".
---------
Slash the size and reform the upper house, getting rid of inheritary peers and making it mainly an elected body.
-------
Reduce the number of overseas vanity or PR trips.
-----------------
Then I would not see any reason for them be paid an appropriate figure for the job.

T--and therein lies the problem, in the main the masses are worse off and therefore unable to spend, so the economy struggles. The transfer of wealth needs to go into reverse.

Then for christ sake George why do you lot vote Con. for? You must know by now that all they really and always have existed for is to shaft the masses and squirrel away disproportionally the benefits that society produces.

Hi Stan
Conservative thinking believes that we know best how to spend our money, whereas Labour believe they know best how to spend our money, and boy did they spend it handing over £720b deficit to the Tories, and that after inheriting a thriving economy.
I don't recall ever stating that I voted Conservative.
