Good Morning punters…
Had a nice e/w max. last Saturday…lets hope we can find something this week?…The Cambridgeshire looks impossible…Newmarket 3.50.. but that is where my money is going!
3yo’s have won the last two runnings…I expect Feared in Flight to continue that sequence…Barry Hills runner ran a cracker behind Centennial in a group 3 on his first outing of the season…btn1½…The John Gosden runner has since gone on to win a group 2 at Goodwood….The selection has gone backwards a little from that run... consequently dropping from 111 to 99...his last run at Doncaster saw a return to form going down 2L to Wasan….which form line ties in favourably with some of the other runners here today…I am a little unsure as to why Michel Hills is not riding…as he has been the pilot on his last three outings…on a positive note today’s Jockey Chris Catlin has a good record for the trainer winning twice from the last four rides…Feared in Flight has had a number of gambles on him this year and the change of Jockey… Barry Hills son could be a ploy to increase the SP from a stable that is known to like a punt. For this reason and with 35 runners I am going to back both having a saver on Michael’s choice Huzzah…which also has favourable form with another one of today’s more fancied runners….Virtual…If you shop around both runners are quoted at best price 50/1.…also be aware!!! you might have noticed Fishforcomliments is running… a horse that Richard Fahey rates highly [group horse] and one I have suggested myself before…I could not tip this to you on any form shown recently but at 100/1 I will be having £10 e/w….could win…could finish last?
Newmarket 5.00 sees Flipando out again this week after finishing down the field to Furnace last week….a sluggish start and the worst of the draw looked to be the excuse…a banker today for a place I would say! …best priced 11/1
To make the treble up I go across to Redcar for the 2.25 and expect a big run from Bid For Glory….Hugh Collingridge’s 4yo has gradually been going down the ratings this year and has just started to show signs of form…I liked the way he picked his rivals off at Yarmouth finishing very well to run Opus Maximus to 4L….expect a late flourish today on a further drop to 80.… best price 16/1 way overpriced!

Good Morning punters.
I think I have a good value bet today in France’s premier race of the season QATAR PRIX DE L'ARC DE TRIOMPHE at Longchamp 3.40...The selection got into the race last year as a substitute for Manduro and ran a cracking race coming from second last on the straight to finish 1¾L behind Dylan Thomas….that was the fifth time he had run at Longchamp and the combined distance he has been beaten in all races is 2½L…that was with a less than favourably passage through on a number of those races… if I was to tell you the combination of Fabre/Peslier is legendry in France you can guess that today’s confident value for money selection is Getaway…he has to find a few lengths with some of his rivals…but not on his running at this track!…in fact he beat a fancied runner comprehensively in Soldier of Fortune twelve months ago and the only runner today that has beaten him at the track is Mick Channon’s Youmzain…......
Fav. for the race The Aga Khan’s unbeaten “Zarkava” is a short priced hotpot and although he has won four Group 1’s…they have not been the very top drawer…certainly not against our best British or Irish!…I would suggest a lay! For these reasons I am confidently having a good e/w punt on Getaway ….best priced 12/1 and a smaller saver on Youmzain….best priced 14/1

In the PRIX JEAN-LUC LAGARDERE 2.25 I think it might be worth looking at Intense Focus….Jim Bolger’s 2yo was only beaten ½L by A.P. O’Brian’s odds on hotpot and now wears blinkers ….the difference in tissue price 1/2 v 20/1.…Although you will only get paid out on first and second… a ½L does not represent 20+ points…worth a look!

Just for another small interest in the TOTAL PRIX MARCEL BOUSSAC (GROUP 1) (2YO FILLIES) Plumania from the same partnership as our main selection…only two runs to her name and this is a major step up!…her first race was a hands and heels job and an education…however the second race and only a small field …she came from last to first against previous winners in a manner of a good horse…the SP that day 1/2 fav. I think she must be thought a lot of and at 12/1 all over… looks worth a punt!




I never recommend favs. or short prices …and so we will have our fair share of losers…hopefully the big value winners will keep us in front.

OK tabby, I have followed you on Getaway. Was some doubt the fav would run because of the rain but looks like it will take its chance.

1.50 Go Lovely Rose @ 12/1 could turn the tables on Copperbeech whilst confirming the form over Pill & Proportional who both won next time out.

3.00 Lady Gloria @ 28/1.

3.40 Ask @ 28/1, R Moore chose this over Papal Bull and with soft ground this lightly raced son of Sadlers Wells will not be so readily outpaced over the last 3f

Jeff …he’s run three times in total on soft ground.. two of them over 15f and won on each occasion…last years great fourth place was on good to soft….probably would have won in more testing conditions….if it cuts up today…and being the sixth race on the cards…that is very possible…it will be far more help to us than others!
