Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

goldfinger - 01 Mar 2004 12:21 - 268 of 2372

Certainly holding its ground so far. If we have a good afternoon with the US he may go a lot higher.

cheers GF.

Scottie - 01 Mar 2004 14:19 - 269 of 2372

Look out GF there's a lot of punters on other bulletin boards saying they are looking at shorting this right now.

nematode - 01 Mar 2004 14:33 - 270 of 2372

Scottie, for the last time piss-off if you have no interests here!!!!

Are u so thick that u need to be told time and time again!!!!

goldfinger - 01 Mar 2004 15:07 - 271 of 2372

Hi Scottie, dont give one jot if they do, theres plenty of that talk about but beleive me from what Ive heard no action. Im in these all the way up from the 50s so I guess if they were to take a bath, which I dont think they will do im still well in the dosh.

I conceed these things happen though but Im a well laid back type of chap who doesnt panic. Nerves of steel scottie, that reminds me must have a few more bob on Corus. Good luck.

cheers Gf.

Scottie - 01 Mar 2004 15:59 - 272 of 2372

nematode, as with any share it is healthy to have a balanced view, so that any newcomers to share dealing don't get taken to the cleaners. Comments like piss-off don't really add much quality to the debate. Corus would appear to be a much better bet right now.

goldfinger - 01 Mar 2004 17:33 - 273 of 2372

Well it ended up a fine day for BPRG holders, lets have many more of them.

cheers Gf.

kantona - 02 Mar 2004 00:08 - 274 of 2372

well i had them at 67p ..more at 70p some at 50p placing and then sold them at 120p ..then saw the last weeks antics by the mm's .. i am very postive about the coming days and 8th march esp.. i think the annoucement that was due out last week vll b released then .. i do not wish to say anything further in fear of being labelled a ramper etc.. which i have no intentiton of doing .. needless to say based on my own conviction i have brought back into them at 140p today and this is on a short term view ..however i vll be prepared to hold on to them over long term if reqd..

this is what i have done and why i have done it.. i don't want anyone to construe this as advice to buy ..as i am sure we are all adults and we can make our own decisions and spend our money the way we feel suits us best..

which ever way u look at this one, short term -longterm.. it is looks like a winner ..i vll post again around the 8th march ..if i am correct in my assessment then we should see this stock trickling up daily in the coming days ..

nematode - 02 Mar 2004 11:26 - 275 of 2372

Just holding it's own before the firworks fly.I expect alot of buying towards the end of the week particularly Friday in anticipation of what's to come on Monday.......gee I'll have to take time off from work on Monday!!!!

goldfinger - 02 Mar 2004 15:20 - 276 of 2372

Still holding up well nems. Looks like the day traders have more pressing things over on the retail decisions thread. Bt the way that one will become a buy after the sell off probably in a day or twos time.

cheers GF.

Dil - 02 Mar 2004 22:22 - 277 of 2372

Will these be sold off too on results day GF ?

There is still too much "hot" money in these to consider them as a long term investment at this time imo.

Maybe when they settle down in a week or so , who knows ?

Scottie - 03 Mar 2004 10:48 - 278 of 2372

I saw a post on another bulletin board by a bloke who should remain nameless, he expected the results to be flat, but that didn't matter in his opinion! I'm going now before nematode tells me to p*** off again.

goldfinger - 03 Mar 2004 11:44 - 279 of 2372

I Dil Scottie, who knows lets face it the stock market ceases to amaze me. Im sure seasoned pros like you have a valid point, which I dont subscribe to.

Just hoping when I cash in my chips I have 850,000 capital, working on my holding and that only includes a 10% projected rise on any news.

But like I have said before if things go pear shaped no problems, I conceed that they can, but so what, just look at those poor devils in Iraq yesterday, there are far more important things in life.

Just going to put on my kalma music and kneel on my cushion.

Oh its a wonderfull world.

cheers GF.

bosley - 03 Mar 2004 15:31 - 280 of 2372

i agree with you gf. i bought into this stock recently and have been tearing my hair out wishing i had bought sooner . but after yesterdays events............ puts it into perspective

Janus - 03 Mar 2004 16:16 - 281 of 2372

Heard rumours that the placing will take place Monday at between 1.15 to 1.20 which is a good price

nematode - 04 Mar 2004 00:20 - 282 of 2372

janus rumours where from,be a bit more specific. What chance for some contract news tomorrow morning!!!!!Anybody any ideas??Just asking the question not making a statement before people get on my backs!!!!

Janus - 04 Mar 2004 07:59 - 283 of 2372

Todays papers

Timesonline
BioProgress, the technology licensing vehicle that raised 6.6 million at 50p in December, gave up 2p at 137p on suggestions that Mondays full-year figures will be accompanied by both a contract win and a further fundraising

Independent
Meanwhile, market professionals talked of a fund raising at Bioprogress, 2.5p lower at 137.5p. According to dealing room gossip, the group is putting the finishing touches to a placing of new stock at 100p, which could be announced as early as next week.

Telegraph
Another feature yesterday was biopharmaceutical company Bioprogress, 2.5 lower at 137.5p. Market chatter said the group, which has a market capitalisation of 143m, will unveil plans for a fund-raising alongside its full-year results on Monday. It is thought house broker Collins Stewart will be involved in the placing of 10m worth of stock to fund an acquisition.

nematode - 04 Mar 2004 20:22 - 284 of 2372

Looking forward to a nice day tomorrow!!!!

mm's have been beaten and tomorrow they won't be able to get any cheap shares as people look forward to the results.

ssanebs - 04 Mar 2004 22:04 - 285 of 2372

the placing was at 100p. as i was offered some and obviously said yes thanks. the important thing is the the size of the us deal, the results will be irrelevant. but if they are building a film factory in the us, the partner must be a big player in the us.

taksum888 - 04 Mar 2004 22:22 - 286 of 2372

I got some shares in BPRG, how can I get them at the placing price of 100p? Or why haven't I been contacted by my broker?
I'm still new to this game.

Andy - 04 Mar 2004 23:10 - 287 of 2372

taksum88,

I doubt if you can unless you have a decent broker.
If you have, ring him!

Sadly you will have to join the rest of us on the sidelines!

If another deal is announced, it will probably cushion the blow of a placing at such a discount, at least I hope it will!
