Some CFD trades can be quite large when you take into account the multiplier. I have been given the option of filling the buy/sell in more than one transaction or giving them more time and doing it at a predetermined price. I assume the latter is what you are calling a protected trade, bh. Don't have access to Level 2 but I understand that the alrger orders which are waiting to be fulfilled are visible. Perhaps someone can clarify.

Anyway, a good close and there should be buyers back tomorrow. Interesting that Evil notes that SEO has spiked up today on new of another US partnership (typically he only gets a selective part of the story). He is thinking of going short again as he suspectrs the shares are a little ahead of events. Normally you would say 'once bitten, twice shy'. But it seems that he likes being bitten again perhaps to even up the two sides! Go for him, stockdog! I could add a governemnt health warning, but nobody takes them seriously any more; at least Evil and I are on the same side there!

The FSA appear to be very interested in EK, mmg, and the broker notes of KBC. It would seem, unless I'm mistaken, that Zimbawean Gary Waanders of KBC will not be working there any longer.

Closed a long early today, but piled back in late on after the retracement.

morning all. good post tfc. i dont think anyone underestimates him. but you feel less afarid of something or someone if you take the piss out of them. he may not be someone who surrenders easily but he is not a fool, also. sooner or later , he will see he would be better off going long on seo. it would probably be a better decision than gmc. online gambling/poker will collapse once people figure out what a con it is.i mean, how many of you would go into a casino and play poker with a dealer who knows exactly what cards you are holding at all times???? as for seo , i feel disapointed that there is no rns this morning!!!!!! what kind of crap company is this????? there should be an rns EVERYDAY!!!! blimey!!

EK aka Extreme Knobhead, is obviously a very shrewd and talented individual to be able to make significant money on the stock markets and have so many followers. I don't think what he does is right but until there is a law to stop it he plays the game very cleverly, its just that on this occasion he has it very wrong. Lets hope he gets converted, possibly with an SEO retrofit and gives us his seal of approval!! Don't mind him having another crack at shorting, gives me the chance to top-up, as I said last week, he can try but will lose and he failed last week. I am now more than ever convinced that by this time next year SEO will be 100p.

Reading MMG thread, EK might have made some dosh shorting that stock but very bad publicity for him in Sunday papers, a brokers geezer resigned and hopefully he'll be in the shit with the FSA (though I doubt that!!!). Maybe he has pushed one too far and will keep his head down for a while. Whilst we all think the man's an idiot, I bet he is richer than us!!

I did not expect to be able to buy in again at less than 20p - so have just taken out another CFD. Wish I had learnt about CFD's earlier on this one.

PS - I understand that spread betting is practically identical to CFD's - except that you do not pay CGT on your "winnings".
Anyone out there care to comment please on the pros and cons of spread betting v CFD's
