I wonder which UK bank will be the first to go, or bailed out again. IMHO if this happens it must be allowed to fail this time.

Surely the prob is that UK Banks made money from selling dodgy insurance -
Now there are no borrowers as such, so the big difference between Hi-St deposits/loans is irrelevant.
Just where will these banks make enough money to repay the Government loans...?
I suspect, we're in for a long haul, hence the reality today of LLOY=28p . . . . it's a bargain taken that they survive for 10 years, say. But the risk is they are taken oput by some event, or foreign "chancer" makes a bid and cleans up.
China or Saudi are quite capable financially and might like to own such a prestigious name.
The yield is zero, and likely to remain so.
I have a near-worthless holding....Bah!

hangon afraid not if it was just selling dodge ppi or insurance this would be a doddle
it it the idiots at the top who took massive financial risks in dodgy countries whilst quaffing champagne etc
the banks have failed get real
who gonna bail them out next?
sadly pensioners and other norms will be and are
the bankers and leaders right now are your worst enemy right now gl
