THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

How much is Andy Murray making out of advertising alone?? He has probably given his money to charity and the rest.

As Andy Murray triumphs at Wimbledon to end 77 years of British hurt, how much can the tennis superstar now expect to earn?
Murray is already worth an estimated £32million, and according to industry experts, yesterday’s win could earn him a whopping £100million over the next five years.

Am I right in thinking that Andy Murray is costing the taxpayer a fortune by giving his winnings to charity.

Labour lead of 6% or 8% is abysmal for them at this point in time, with the Tories so unpopular atm Labour lead should be nearer 20%. As the economy continues its slow improvement so that lead will be erased.

Good luck to them that is all I say. Charities get a tax relief from donations- money has always been around in advertising one way or another so why shouldn't they have it. I personally as a female didn't think him that ugly despite a certain males view on here. Far too young and fit for me ho! ho!

Perhaps he is waiting for you 3m, as he does not seem to have proposed to Kim after 8 yrs. lol

What a way to die, sex is supposed to be good for one after a heart attack. I am sure I am older than his mother - not as old as his grandmother though. One has to laugh. Good luck to him, the best man won.

Harriet Harman was on TV yesterday getting very shirty about the Falkirk/Unite selection process saying that it was a one-off and Labour's selections are fine and above board.

Now we come to today and Labour has referred two London constituencies to the Police - Lewisham and Ilford. How many more are there?

Will union plan get Miliband off the hook?

Ed Miliband is planning an important speech with a mighty big claim: he will try to sell his plan to reform the way his party works as the biggest in a generation.

The question is whether his proposals - which have yet to be finalised, let alone spelt out in public - will live up to the billing.

cynic - 09 Jul 2013 06:31 - 26897 of 81564

it seems to me that labour has managed to drop itself into a deep cesspit, for which the tories and the fringe parties must be exceedingly grateful.

that EM looks a close cousin to gromit does not exactly help labour's electability.
however, the country at large will shudder at the thought that the wrecking militant unionism that we had all hoped was thoroughly buried, is now resurrecting itself like dracula, using (it hopes) the labour party as its mouthpiece and face of outward respectability.

but now on a very frivolous subject ...... i just picked this up on yahoo headlines

Poor old George Clooney has been dumped by his girlfriend Stacy Keibler - what did he do wrong?

Answer - nothing at all of course; she has just finished her contractual time to act as GC's arm ornament in his customary charade
