As already mentioned it will be interesting to see what the position will be in another 6 months. On one side is the positive (could be a bit of the old spin) re the substantive product launch in the second half for one of our target markets of personal care, whilst on the more negative side SEO is still not in profit, with a still fairly heavy cash burn.
So it is just a question of which side of the coin wins through.

kimoldfield - 28 Aug 2009 20:03 - 26895 of 27111

"which side of the coin" - did you misspell con Greek? ;o)

It's still the same old story with SEO. Yes they have potential and yes they actually do have good products, what they lack is any ideas on how to maximise what they have. I'm giving them another 12 months to get their act together, if it hasn't happened by then I'm going to set fire to their Trotters Independent Trading Co. van.

Ah, looks like there is someone out there as sceptical and suspicious as myself (coin/con). The coin of course would be about a one and a half old pennies, which is the current value of each share.

dont you think its bizarre that this is the most posted thread on moneyam..it reminds me when QXL threads were on ADVFN...could this stock follow a similar fortune to QXL ? I.E, getting very close to running out of cash but becomes profitable just in time and evolves into a 200 multi bagger in 3 years...place ya bets guys!...i have...

Toya - 31 Aug 2009 09:00 - 26898 of 27111

'Bets' is the right word Maestro! But if you only bet what you wouldn't miss if you lose, then it's worth a roll of the dice

dealerdear - 31 Aug 2009 20:04 - 26899 of 27111

Christ if maestro has put money into SEO then we're all doomed!

kimoldfield - 01 Sep 2009 00:20 - 26900 of 27111

SEO's new logo. "The future's bright, the future's....hmm, erm, er biodegradable? Can that be right?"

Balerboy - 02 Sep 2009 10:10 - 26901 of 27111

kimoldfield - 15 Sep 2009 19:58 - 26907 of 27111

Go for PXS Maestro! It will be a week or two before SEO come good. That's a cat's week of course!

Still holding 100k much to my surprise, thought I'd managed to offload when they were worth zillions! ;o)

Balerboy - 15 Sep 2009 22:21 - 26908 of 27111

Hell I've got over 300k, my kids will be ok when they're 60 with any luck....

maestro - 16 Sep 2009 17:35 - 26909 of 27111

kim..how longs a cats week? 1 day?

by the way just got banned again from advfn..must be a record now..think it was because i was ramping VOG

kimoldfield - 16 Sep 2009 17:50 - 26910 of 27111

Bad luck Maestro!!

I think I meant a dog's week, although they say that 1 human year is equivalent to 7 dog or cat years. So perhaps that should be more like a year or two before SEO come good , cat, dog or human years, take your pick. Of course, they may always spring a surprise and announce something really, realistically, good for a change!

maestro - 16 Sep 2009 17:56 - 26911 of 27111

listen kim..all the qxl crew are in SEO..lukic,mr.woolley,gohunk,booster ..so i reckon we are in good company...the cash is a worry but it was with qxl too

kimoldfield - 16 Sep 2009 18:29 - 26912 of 27111

Aagh!! Don't mention QXL, I sold mine at what I thought then was a fantastic price........7 !!! Lol.

Stanelco reports double-digit growth
Jill Park, packagingnews.co.uk, 28 August 2009

Stanelco has achieved double-digit growth in bioplastics sales in the first quarter of 2009, following a slow start to the year.

The Southampton-based company reported a 25% increase in revenues to 3.5m for the three months ending 23 April, compared to 2008.

Stanelco chief executive Paul Mines told Packaging News that the start of the year was "a bit slow as the world was in shock, but we managed to keep growth up".

Mines attributed the growth in bioplastics sales to waste legislation and companies' corporate social responsibility commitments.

"I guess it's because boards have put out edicts that have said 'we will be carbon neutral'," said Mines.

The company has worked with a major wet shave brand on a new launch, which will be rolled out in the oncoming months.

Over the past 18 months, Stanelco has developed a number of materials, which are either being trialled or have been introduced to the marketplace.

Mines said the company is "getting more confident" in its ability to develop and launch these products.

Stanelco's radio frequency operation has focused on growing its portfolio and has received a number of orders from the induction heating market.

In the past, Mines has revealed that the company is on the look-out for acquisitions and today confirmed his intention "to make something happen".
