OST the next Cybit (OST)

agwoodisse - 13 Nov 2003 12:11

This share has taken off over recent weeks. The management has transformed the company. Offshore Telecom presents an exciting opportunity. Rival BBs are very active on this share. It is time for MoneyAM BBs to join in the fun.

Offshore Telecom Plc

KEY NEW ORDER SIGNED WITH XCHANGEPOINT

Offshore Telecom Plc ("Offshore Telecom") announces that its principal operating subsidiary, Matrix Network Solutions ("Matrix") has received a letter of intent from XchangePoint Europe Ltd. ("XchangePoint") for orders which are expected to generate revenues of 500,000 over the next two years.

XchangePoint is a leading provider of metro-area internet interconnect services. It offers its customers an extensive range of services that enables them to balance their peering, transit and access requirements through a single connection on the XchangePoint platform. XchangePoint currently operates mainly in London and in Hamburg, Germany and is planning to expand its services into at least two additional major European Cities over the next two years.

At the outset, Matrix will provide outsourced network support services to assist XchangePoint in rolling out its services into mainland Europe. Matrix will also supply and install the communications networks and associated equipment for this expansion.

Ian Smith, Offshore Telecom's Chief Operating Officer, commented :

"This is the first announcement of a number of significant new contracts won by Matrix in recent months. The XchangePoint contract will contribute some revenue in the current year, but the bulk is likely to be booked in our financial years starting in November 2003 and 2004."

Richard Almeida, CEO XchangePoint added:

"XchangePoint is very pleased to be working with Matrix as a trusted business partner for network services, contributing heavily to earlier implementation of our business plans and vastly improving on the traditional supplier approach. This will accelerate the roll-out of our newly funded plan to grow XchangePoint's business into Europe"

ckmtang. So did I. Next week looks like fun times ahead.

ckmtang - 14 Nov 2003 17:45 - 28 of 112

ho;feully next week won`t make us diappointed.....

ckmtang - 14 Nov 2003 17:49 - 29 of 112

if it really hit 3.75p again then it will be great and smile.

agwoodisse - 14 Nov 2003 18:06 - 30 of 112

There is no reason why they will not. Market cap is undemanding. New strategy is bringing in the business and Matrix have significant contracts that have yet to be announced.

ckmtang - 17 Nov 2003 07:52 - 31 of 112

have a good week....

agwoodisse - 17 Nov 2003 12:53 - 32 of 112

Hi Guys. Just logged on. Looking forward to this week. Interest in this share is still growing. Small market cap. Company has been transformed. Two good purchases in Matrix and Norwood. Both profitable. Further contract announcements in the wings. Happy days!

agwoodisse - 17 Nov 2003 13:26 - 33 of 112

XchangePoint has faith in Matrix. I suspect that Matrix will be adopted as OST's name in the near future. Reminds me of GXnetworks who became Pipex after GXN bought them. Matrix are well respected and should be good for the share price.

Postings from another BB:

bergster56 - 17 Nov'03 - 14:08 - 756 of 758
why does this one rise 6% then fall back again?
Frustrating

grevis - 17 Nov'03 - 14:26 - 758 of 758 edit
bergster56: The price is behaving much as expected. OST since its recent transformation, is essentially a new company. The MMs will muck about with the share price until a decisive trend has been established.
Its current pattern is similar to that of Cybit a few months ago. Spreads all over the place as MMs tried to make hay whilst they could. 1p was tested several times before it broke free. Now they have been over 4p. Expect OST to do the same fairly soon.
Hold tight. I like the look of this share. Plenty of announcements expected

ckmtang - 17 Nov 2003 14:33 - 35 of 112

so what can I do????? hold in and wait... and be patient.

agwoodisse - 17 Nov 2003 14:54 - 36 of 112

This share is going to rise sooner rather than later. This is a traders delight. The market cap is small compared to its competitors. The price is sub 1p and is set to double. Don't forget that this share was 3.75p not so long ago and yet it is now a much better company. It would not take much buying to set the price alight. Anyone who buys in at these levels will not be disappointed. The fun is just beginning.

From another BB

VERY QUICK - 18 Nov'03 - 10:15 - 765 of 778
Nice 1 mill buy gone through at 0.800p

cmlane - 18 Nov'03 - 10:25 - 766 of 778
VERY QUICK - Nice presentation of what looks like wild speculation as fact
How come you make this a buy when it's closer to the bid than the offer?
How come you know this to be a fact & not speculation?

cableguy00 - 18 Nov'03 - 10:27 - 767 of 778
Sure it was a buy? A bit cheap compared to the indicated offer and mid.
Doesn't really matter anyway 'cos even if it were a sell, it shows someone offering over the indicated bid for their shares.
VQ - did you buy any yet ?

cmlane - 18 Nov'03 - 10:34 - 768 of 778
worth repeating ...
deals at the bid tend to be sells
deals at the offer tend to be buys
deals at the mid-price tend to be what you want them to be

VERY QUICK - 18 Nov'03 - 10:38 - 769 of 778
Cableguy00: Hold 250k at 0.780p

starsiva6 - 18 Nov'03 - 10:43 - 770 of 778
Guys, I am telling you, Just hold this tight. Price will go over the roof soon like CYH. I promise.

yorgi - 18 Nov'03 - 11:22 - 776 of 778
Insideryou,

First I will declare my interest I hold over 250k of OST.
I would agree with your analysis, and buy or sell at prices showing it looks promising.
David

yorgi - 18 Nov'03 - 11:25 - 777 of 778
If one om my other investments reaches the target I am looking for I will release funds to buy some more at these levels.

Hi Guys. Good to see you are still enjoying his thread. That 1 million trade is intriguing. Quotes end of yesterday and this AM, 0.77p sell and 0.90p buy.
Whatever, bodes well for this share. It was steady as a rock yesterday despite the sell off of other gogo shares. Seems as though loose holders have been shaken out. Price should start to rise from here. Should be getting news about that "number of significant new contracts won by Matrix in recent months."

agwoodisse - 18 Nov 2003 14:15 - 38 of 112

A nice 1 million buy has just gone through.

martincoops - 19 Nov 2003 08:28 - 39 of 112

Down 6% on no trades, MM's messing about?

ckmtang - 19 Nov 2003 08:30 - 40 of 112

i also wonder why it drop a lot.

martincoops - 19 Nov 2003 08:49 - 41 of 112

Well its only money. Down 9.3% now

Or maybe something is brewing............

agwoodisse - 19 Nov 2003 12:01 - 42 of 112

Hi Guys. Well it's all buys right now and the price is creeping back up. Think the MMs were simply shaking the tree first thing this AM. Perhaps they are aware of an impending announcement and are endeavouring to pick up as much stock as they can. Does anyone know who the MMs are for this share

ckmtang - 19 Nov 2003 13:27 - 43 of 112

Slightly drop today

agwoodisse - 19 Nov 2003 16:44 - 44 of 112

Just back logged on. Good recovery. Price is up 3.10%

agwoodisse - 19 Nov 2003 16:51 - 45 of 112

Just had a look at the trades. Almost all buys, spoiled by just one solitary sell. Looking good.

agwoodisse - 19 Nov 2003 17:05 - 46 of 112

From another BB

grevis - 19 Nov'03 - 11:52 - 820 of 871 edit
It's about time the MMs stopped mucking about with the spreads on OST. Their greed is keeping volumes down. Interest is growing in this stock but some buyers are put off by outlandish bid to offer spreads. Wake up MMs, you would gain more by a rising price than by your silly antics.

bergster56 - 19 Nov'03 - 14:07 - 821 of 871
Whats MM mean?

the jabawoker - 19 Nov'03 - 14:26 - 822 of 871

bergster56: MM = Market Maker
A buy of 500,000 - they marked the price down this morning hoping to get some stock - NOPE didn't work - MM short of stock me finks!

cmlane - 19 Nov'03 - 14:33 - 825 of 871
bergster56 -
Market maker ... Shares are bought & sold using an auction system. City firms make the market by offering shares to buy and sell. The bid/offer spread that you see at ADVFN represent the highest bid and lowest offer available from this group of MMs.
The MMs make their money on the difference between bid and offer. MMs are often accused of having lots of underhand motives, and of manipulating the market against the interests of the customers on these boards.

davidcod - 19 Nov'03 - 14:36 - 826 of 871
bergster56- MM are NOT your friend

the jabawoker - 19 Nov'03 - 14:43 - 827 of 871
mm- want to see you out of pocket

davidcod - 19 Nov'03 - 14:44 - 828 of 871

VERY QUICK - 19 Nov'03 - 14:52 - 832 of 871

Argyle underclap - 19 Nov'03 - 14:56 - 835 of 871
ok boys and girls, i'm aboard for a little dabble. 75,000 at .85
could have got in a .775, but hey it's only money, and the trenf on this is north anyway so i'll soon be smiling imho

yorgi - 19 Nov'03 - 14:59 - 836 of 871
Gone for another 150k at .9p at 14:56........he who hesitates is lost. I should have moved earlier I guess my own fault. That was the maximum I could buy without TDW going to the MM.

davidcod - 19 Nov'03 - 15:00 - 837 of 871
0.75-0.90, now 2 bid 1 offer
