Elliott wave made easy to trade for full profit potential (MTP)

Insider trader - 31 Mar 2005 08:09

I have been testing a software called MT predictor owned by Steve Griffiths who has been on CNBC in the past when his software nailed the actual market low in march 4th 03 (S&P Futures live on TV).

The software is based on Elliott Wave which only concentrates on. Ideal trade set-upsA powerful scanner finds the waves meeting exceptional criteria. Ideal trades A Risk/Reward module that analyses potential gain/risk of loss BEFORE you enter the trade. Ideal trade size: Initial Risk module determines position size. Ideal trade management Display modules that show exit/stop strategy: Systematic Elliott Wave patterns: Show Elliott Waves module finds only the valid patterns. Advanced strategies.

Excellent additional trading opportunities and trade management plans.

MTP%20scan%20risk%20reward.bmp?dc=467551

Included with the software is a nearly 500 page course (which is now downloadable in two parts) which covers everything you will need to know about how to trade Elliott Wave profitably, right from identifying the trades and key set-ups right through the trade to the end. The software is $1795 and if you purchase the software the course is free. You also have a 60 day money back guarantee or you can buy the course for $95 on it's own. The course covers the basics on Elliott Wave theory, right through to actually trading Elliott with advanced trading techniques in different time frames etc. The course has brought home a few facts that I didn't know/forgot along my journey of trading. I can see the detail of information which is in this course in seminar form costing over $2000 a time. You also get a free daily report with trading opportunities, and access to a private members only club, Hotcomm real trading room, etc. Also what I like about this company is the friendlyness. Tony the sales Director, has been really helpful (the same goes for Steve) and always replies through email swiftly.

I am testing the EOD version at the moment, then I will be testing the RT version. So far I have been pleasantly surprised with the accuracy of the software and scanner.
The software only concentrates on the most profitable of the Elliott Waves, the five impulsive and the three A,B,C simple correction waves. It doesn't get caught up in all the complex corrections etc.

My stress levels have reduced as I now at close of market download the data (through Q-Data.co.uk) and then just scan for the three key set-ups, ABC corrections and type one and two set ups. It displays your trade trigger point, where to set your stop, the 100% initial risk point, and all the targets based on Elliott and Fibonacci all on the chart with a click of a mouse.

The only thing it doesn't do is put the trade on for you!

As Forex has large intraday swings, I click the 'Show Elliott Waves' button and it shows me any valid Elliott Waves so you then just trade with the trend intraday, easy.

Initial Risk/Reward is the real holy grail.

I have relearned that the real holy grail is all about Risk/Reward and preserving ones trading capital as most of us know the market is not there to give us profit, we must take it with the minimal Risk as possible to our trading account. This software displays the Risk/Reward on every trade BEFORE you enter it, you ideally want to take trades with a Risk/Reward of 2:1 at the FIRST trade target. If it's lower, just go on to the next potential trade.

The course covers all this and more.

Forget all those $79 downloadable cheap courses you see advertised all over the net, been there, done that, and wasted my time and money along the way.
Where they are helpful for the absolute beginner to just get a grasp on the market place, a lot of the information is freely avaliable on the net if you don't mind searching.
You won't get the information for free that is included in this course imho. This information is what successful traders keep to themselves for obvious reasons!

To all those who are starting out trading: If you think $1795 is a tad too expensive, come back to this thread and read it again when the market has taken every penny off you, because without the right training I can assure you, it will, as 95% of traders fail in the first two years.

Why not try out the Course first as a taster?

Are you not sure how to trade using a computer, or find it hard to find your way around a computer?

Fear not as Steve has started a help service to members which will help you get rid of the computer anxiety to aid you with your trading. Another comittment to his members.

Why not try out the Course first as a taster?

GPOR still in profit. I have taken profits on BSET +4. BHY is flat.

What do you all think of this? Is the Dow in a uptrend or just correcting?

*UPDATE*

Looking back over my trades and reflecting back to the course material, I never should have taqken the PHY tradweas the 20ema was pointing the wrong direction notifying me that the trade would be against the trend.
GPOR was stopped out for no loss so no worries there.
I have been keeping an eye on Griffin:

IT - I notice that on ADV there is an Elliott wave guru (Hatman) who has been unerringly accurate on PRO. Any views as to whether wave 5 has been completed>

Insider trader - 01 May 2005 07:19 - 32 of 48

Pachandl

Can you give me a link? I'm not sure whether the wave 5 is already in or not. It depends what way you look at it. It is possible the recent high on the Dow was a wave 5 as it was 127% of the swing previous. Longer term view is that we are just still in a series of ABC correction waves and are ready to fall again soon. But I'm no E/W guru by a long way, I like to play the smaller term swing set ups rather than continually counting (yep, I have been caught up with that before like many others).

Here's a EZJ chart:
EZJ%20up%20or%20down.bmp?dc=467552049667

Insider trader - 01 May 2005 07:52 - 33 of 48

Oh you mean PRO.
I cant even see a valid E/W count on the chart, but looking at the swings and bar, the last bar you had was a doji right on the smaller swing 1.618 fib ext support.

PROValis.bmp?dc=4675520501509985857

pachandl - 01 May 2005 15:22 - 34 of 48

IT - thanks for your input - I must admit that I also find difficulty detecting a clear E/W count although, intuitively, I see 4.49 as the end of wave 5. Cheers.

Insider trader - 09 May 2005 18:58 - 35 of 48

I will be doing weekly scans once a week for ABC set ups.
This week I got these results from the FTSE 350 stocks:

AMEC - SELL - TS1: I looked further and discovered that the trend is up and 20EMA, looked on the weekly chart and the trend is also up so decided against this set up.

JPMF - SELL - TS2: I looked further and discovered that the wave 4 crossed into the previous wave 1 area so decided against this set up.

LAND - SELL - TS3: I looked further and discovered that the trend is only slightly up, and the weekly trend looks as if it could be turning down soon so will watch this trade.

MISYS - SELL - TS2: I looked further and discovered it hasn't got a red reversal bar so decided against it for now.

Second Alliance - SELL - TS2: Wave crossed into wave 1 area so decided against the trade.

So I will be watching LAND and see what the out come is.

Min Wave C is
1273.5 to 1260.5
a risk/reward of 2.6:1

Typ Wave C is
1221.7 to 1234.3
a risk/reward of 4.2:1

Typ Wave 3 is
1141.1 to 1152.9
a risk/reward of 7.6:1

Max Wave 3 is
1035.7 to 1046.3
a risk/reward of 12:1

Stanelco PLC ('Stanelco')

Update on Youngs Bluecrest Production Trials

Stanelco, the RF (radio frequency) applications group, is pleased to announce
that following its recently announced contract with ASDA, the first stage of
full-scale production trials with Youngs Bluecrest has now been completed. For a
two-week period fresh salmon has been sold using our GREENSEAL technology as the
sealing process. The results of these trials have been extremely encouraging.

Over the two-week period of the trials sales of the product packed and sold in
the selected ASDA stores have grown by 21%. Stanelco has been informed by ASDA
that this increase is as a direct result of a number of factors directly
attributable to our technology. Key amongst these is a more attractive looking
pack than the current product. In addition there were no reported leaking packs
and waste at store level was reduced.

Independent analysis carried out by Law Laboratories has also identified better
visual appearance and a fresher taste as the product reaches its end of shelf
life date. In addition microbiological analysis has also indicated that there is
strong evidence that an extra days' product life could be achieved.

Tony Ruane, Technical Manager at ASDA said:

'The benefits are now proving to be substantially beyond our original thinking
and as a result we will look to accelerate the introduction of this technology
to full scale commercial production.

'The second trial is commencing on Wednesday 11th May at Hitchens Foods, where
we will be trialling the process on layered salads and other items in the ASDA
own label range of Hitchens products.'

Ian Balchin, CEO of Stanelco commented:

'These trials are producing benefits well beyond our expectations and we look
forward to the imminent commercial discussions that are now being arranged.'

Tough FrogPack High-Impact Resistant Packaging Debuts in North America; Biodegradable Packaging Unique to U.S., Canadian Retailing Industry

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2005--Stanelco PLC, (LSE:SEO.L), is utilizing FrogPack, a rugged, high-impact resistant packaging application to take a giant leap across the Atlantic and reach retailers and shippers in North America. Designed to withstand substantial punishment, FrogPack is expected to attract considerable attention from leading U.S. retailers, who face the challenge of minimizing breakage to goods while packaging shipping and transporting highly fragile merchandise.

FrogPack's most distinguishing characteristic is its ability to minimize and virtually eliminate damage to fragile goods being shipped to wholesalers and retailers or directly to consumers. FrogPack's energy-absorbing design, combined with Cradlewrap(TM), a biodegradable air-cushioning wrapping material that can be used within the containers, provides remarkably secure protection for goods that require shipping. Tests undertaken to challenge FrogPack's sturdiness have confirmed that highly fragile items, ranging from glass champagne bottles to sensitive electronic components, dropped from a helicopter from as high as 200 feet in the air suffered no damage or signs of their fall.

"FrogPack can take a hard punch. Retailers will be impressed when they see how much punishment FrogPack absorbs. The packaging is a superior alternative for protecting goods during shipping," said David Edwards, the inventor of FrogPack. "FrogPack's capability to protect, combined with its potential for reducing costs in packaging and shipping, is unlike anything currently in use in North America."

FrogPack utilizes a unique technology called shock-absorbing arcuate panel technology (SAAP) for its added strength and protective qualifies. The technology, designed by Aquasol, a subsidiary of Stanelco, is already in use in the United Kingdom by a packager of lighting supplies and a packager of electronic components.

In addition to its ability to withstand high-impact punishment, FrogPack possesses environmentally attractive features that will be attractive to North American retailers. FrogPack can be either recycled or composted. FrogPack's high-impact design means that the packaging, which can be manufactured on a customized basis, can be produced in smaller sizes, requiring less material and less energy in the actual product

To acquaint North American retailers with FrogPack and attract American distributors for the application, Stanelco is launching a multi-faceted North American marketing program. Stanelco's North American rollout for FrogPack includes a direct sales effort, supplemented by direct mail, an aggressive publicity program, demonstrations of FrogPack's durability and a presence at leading U.S. retail trade shows. Stanelco has opened a North American sales office in Orlando, Fla., and appointed Stephanie Morgan-Fisher to oversee the introduction of FrogPack.

Stanelco PLC, headquartered in Southampton, England, was founded in 1953. Stanelco is engaged in the commercialization of new applications, innovations, products and processes based on radio frequency (RF) technologies. These products and services range from RF technology support for the health care industry to new product development, such as FrogPack, sealed water-soluble polymer materials, homecare applications, detergents and agrochemicals. I have decided that I want more odds in my favour for trades with good set ups, so I have entered on the scanner that I want it to look for reversal bars which consist of 80/20 (alone) Inside days, Doji's. I also entered that I would be interested in end Wave 2orB's or end of wave 4's as we know by now that at the end of a wave 2or b or Wave 4 we get a decent surge in the direction of the main trend which is called a Wave 3 or 5.
So really I'm only interested in trades with as much of the above all together would be nice but not realistic in the real world, so a couple together will be acceptable.

The scanner has returned a huge amount of potential trade setups.

No sales pitch here Ptholden. Just my trading experiences of the MTPredictor software. A lot traders like to keep jewels what they find to themselves, I'm sharing.

Here's a few charts and my thoughts (fwiw) on where we are and maybe heading. Take it all with a pinch of salt. ;O)

Here's the Euro which has hit target very well including time and pattern. Still may have further to fall though as that wasn't much of a wave 4.

Here's the FTSE weekly chart, you can see five clear impulse waves up, as to whether this move is over I'm not so sure.

Lastly is Dow, looks like a correction move as waves are messy, no clear count, probably just completed a B wave up as it couldn't get above the mid line level for now.
