Fat Albert and Postman Pat? No Sleep (ERT)

driver - 26 May 2005 15:02

Entertainment Rights Plc

We look forward to the first full year's contribution from our 2004 acquisitions; The Filmation library of classic contemporary animated programming and Tell-Tale Productions, the creative talent behind the hugely successful TweeniesTM. The integration of Filmation is complete and the successful roll-out of DVD titles for Fat AlbertTM and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe(R) in the US, reaffirms the Board's belief that 2005 will be a significant year for the library. Tell-Tale Productions' integration into the Company has beenrealised and the TweeniesTM live arena show, 'No Sleep 'Till Bedtime' has recently toured the country playing to a total audience of over 110,000. Work continues on Tell-Tale's strong and innovative development and production slate with Tell-Tale's brand new programming Fun Song Factory and BB3B enjoying ratings success on CiTV and the BBC respectively.
The Company is well positioned for long-term growth via its strategy of aggregating quality owned and third party multi-media content. Demand for our content has never been higher as the digital age transforms the global mediamarket. The Board is confident that trading remains in line with market expectations.'

This company is well positioned to go onward and upwards, a nice stock to have in your portfolio, and tell your kids a bedtime story all about your Postman Pat investment. Zzzzzz zzzzzz

Al
Re Doesn't the p/e ratio scare you just a tad???

In general, a high P/E suggests that investors are expecting higher earnings growth in the future compared to companies with a lower P/E. However, the P/E ratio doesn't tell us the whole story itself. It's usually more useful to compare the P/E ratios of one company to other companies in the same industry, or to the market in general, or against the company's own historical P/E. It would not be useful for investors using the P/E ratio as a basis for their investment to compare the P/E of a technology company (high P/E) to a utility company (low P/E) as each industry has much different growth prospects.

Im still none the wiser.

Basil Brush is the Strongest Link!

Basil Brush was the strongest link on the Weakest Link panto special on Saturday 10th December.

Basil beat off stiff opposition from panto favourites including Christopher Biggins, Warwick Davies and Amanda Barrie to win 10,900 for the Blue Peter Treasure Trail Appeal.

Good old Basil.

Postman Pat to deliver in Japan Jul 6 2005

Daily Post

POSTMAN Pat was yesterday set to embark on one of his biggest delivery rounds yet after his owner announced plans to send him to Japan.

Entertainment Rights said it had signed a deal with Buena Vista International to air shows featuring Pat and the rest of Greendale's residents on the Disney Channel in Japan.

The news comes less than a month after a similar agreement was clinched in the United States and sent shares in Entertainment Rights 5% higher.

Yesterday's deal gives Postman Pat access to the world's second largest toy market and includes 80

15-minute episodes as well as four special programmes for cable and satellite.

The Japanese toy market is worth around 5.5bn a year, behind that of the US which is estimated at 18.8bn.

Postman Pat is now watched by around a million viewers every day across the world.

FIVE COMMISSIONS NEW RUPERT BEAR(R) ANIMATION SERIES FROM ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS

Entertainment Rights Plc ('ER'), one of the UK's leading independent media
groups specialising in the ownership of children's and family programming,
characters and brands announces today that leading UK broadcaster, Five has
secured the UK broadcast rights to ER's brand new animated television series,
Rupert(R) and Friends. Five has commissioned ER to produce 52 x 10 minute
episodes of Rupert(R) and Friends to appear on Five from Autumn 2006.

This agreement follows ER's acquisition of the controlling rights to Rupert Bear
(R) from Express Newspapers ('Express') in October 2005. Under the terms of the
agreement, ER acquired worldwide in perpetuity all audio visual, licensing and
merchandising, publishing, live events and new media rights to Rupert Bear(R)
and the world of Nutwood.

The brand new series of Rupert(R) and Friends combines high quality stop frame
animation and innovative 3-D computer generated imagery (CGI) to produce a
completely fresh, contemporary and appealing Rupert(R) and Friends television
series for today's pre-schoolers.

Rupert(R) and Friends introduces pre-schoolers to a world of fun, excitement,
magic and adventure as the cast of characters experience the wonderful world of
Nutwood. The much loved and instantly recognisable Rupert(R), Bill Badger,
Edward Trunk and Raggety the Tree Elf are joined by enchanting new characters
including Ping Pong, Ming and Miranda the Mermaid who explore Nutwood and other
fantastical locations in their adventures together.

The Rupert Bear(R) brand lends itself to a whole range of new media and online
opportunities including interactive, music downloads, games and hand held
devices. ER will be implementing a full consumer products campaign, online
campaign and DVD release programme for Rupert Bear(R) with product rolling out
from 2007. The Rupert(R) and Friends animated series will be launched globally
by ER at international television market MIPCOM in October 2006.

Mike Heap, CEO, Entertainment Rights commented:

'We believe that Five is the perfect home for Rupert. Today's announcement
represents a significant programming commission from Five and demonstrates their
commitment to the Rupert Bear brand which will become a key part of their
children's schedule. ER has built an enviable reputation in securing commissions
with key UK broadcasters positioning ER as the leading independent supplier of
children's programming in the UK.'
