THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

fred - your nose is growing!

Fred1new - 13 Jul 2013 17:51 - 27151 of 81564

That is just one of my horns.

3 monkies - 13 Jul 2013 18:47 - 27152 of 81564

Can't speak Fred1new. Is that a new horn or an old one? Good job us old farts have a sense of humour.

cynic - 13 Jul 2013 21:09 - 27153 of 81564

meanwhile, i see that humourless, hard-left militant bob crow is also doing his level best with his pals at unite to get the conservatives re-elected without them having to do a damn thing ...... EM and the rest of the labour party must be going ape-shit

Haystack - 13 Jul 2013 21:33 - 27154 of 81564

Union leader Bob Crow has promised a new political party to rival Labour as he spoke during the 129th Durham Miners' Gala.

He called for a "new party of labour" to take on the "anti-worker" agenda of the three main Westminster political parties.

"It's going to be fighting for working people and fighting for communities," he told Sky News.

"Sooner rather than later people are going to recognise the fact that the Labour Party is no longer supporting working people," Mr Crow added.

gf - post 27148, "Arguing, nut asylum, sexual upper" . Sad guy you are really = Mr Billy-no-mates who resorts to all kinds of insults when a poster doesn't agree with your particular views. You have referred to me as "scum","pleb", "ignorant" etc. since I started posting on this bulletin board and now you are suggesting I should be put in a "nut asylum". I don't know why Ian didn't throw you off this bulletin board a long time ago. Anyone who follows my posts on advfn will know that I don't spend my time "arguing and getting into spats" - another inaccurate assertion and pure fantasy on your part.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 21:47 - 27156 of 81564

Fred, your right Ive never had bun fights and thrown bread rolls and pastries at my buddies in local cafes.

Ive never had a bolly down the bully either.

But Ive had a brown ale down the Spotted Cow........ nectar sheer nectar......smile.....smirk.

Haystack - 13 Jul 2013 22:04 - 27157 of 81564

I used to do financial modelling and financial consolidation at ICI at Millbank head office as an external consultant in the Treasury dept. We used to work all sorts of hours when it was time to get the quarter's figures out for the market. They used to bring us trolleys and trolleys of superb food in the evenings. They called them 'overtime teas'. One of the best parts was the bun fights when we would throw bread rolls at each other and other food. One morning there were complaints as there was a large amount of food stuck on the ceiling. They had to get in some workmen with long ladders as the ceilings were very high. The chief accountant came to have a look and he just burst out laughing.

goldfinger - 13 Jul 2013 22:13 - 27158 of 81564

Sounds good fun. Id love to have a go at that.

Fred1new - 14 Jul 2013 09:28 - 27159 of 81564

Hays,

Not to my taste.

Left the kindergarten 70 years ago.

But you haven't improved much.

But were you at this party.

Fred1new - 14 Jul 2013 09:32 - 27160 of 81564

Cynic,

Bob Crow.

He seems to me to be as neanderthal as many of the present cabinet.

But I even read your views without believing in them.

Fred1new - 14 Jul 2013 09:37 - 27161 of 81564

cynic - 14 Jul 2013 10:35 - 27162 of 81564

apart from seeing him on the news from time to time, the lovely mr crow was on "have i got news for you" one evening - oh dear oh dear!

anyway, the conservatives, and perhaps ukip, must be truly delighted with his latest nonsense

cynic - 14 Jul 2013 16:22 - 27163 of 81564

.

cynic - 14 Jul 2013 16:22 - 27164 of 81564

so ultimately, a close call for ukip who end up with zero seats despite a good shout :-)

fred will understand, which is quite good form for him really!

TANKER - 15 Jul 2013 08:37 - 27165 of 81564

a few facts if you do not want to get germs avoid restaurants .
more people become ill after a meal in or from a meal which
is covered in germs and saliva
best to cook your own food as most restaurants and takeaways are full
of germs .
look after your stomach and health cook it your self

cynic - 15 Jul 2013 08:46 - 27166 of 81564

now a proper fact
most people get food poisoning in one form or another through eating at home ..... most people haven't a clue about even basic food hygiene and how to store stuff in the fridge

Fred1new - 15 Jul 2013 08:58 - 27167 of 81564

Surely, with a fridge you just open the door and put it on a shelf.

When it has matured like a good cheese you take it out and throw it away.

Dangerous things fridges.

TANKER - 15 Jul 2013 09:12 - 27168 of 81564

my facts are from the experts some people need to read reports on restaurants
and the germs in the restaurant kitchens most chefs rarely wash their hands .
takeaways are by far the worst has they know it is very hard to prove it was them
avoid takeaways unless you do not care for your health .
the public should avoid restaurants the cleanest places to eat is in super markets
restaurants

Fred1new - 15 Jul 2013 09:19 - 27169 of 81564

Have you seen how glasses are washed in a pub and how the hops are allowed to go off.

I wonder how many cats, rats, dogs fall in the vats these days.

Called giving a body to the fluid before decanting.

They call it fermenting, but it is allowed to rot before being bottled up or put in dirty casks to be sold in half washed glasses.

Have a look in your local pub on a hot day.

UGGGGHHHHH
