Hilary,i hope the removal of the header, was an accident,as it would be a shame
for you to lose a thread you have put so much work in to.To be honest, you made a statement that "we must have rocks in our heads" to trade cable in asia.,and i answered that in fact i was talking about the asian handover which i enjoy trading, thats my own personnel choice, and maybe other new people on this thread would of appreciated a constuctive commnet as to why you thought otherwise, mine mainly comes from the fact iam up most mornings @ 5am,due to my 10 month old daughter, and ive found most mornings,i make money, today 40 tics cable, now offer most traders on this thread 40tics before 7am each day and i think there would be a few takers.

opinions and views make markets as you well know, and sometimes we dont agree.
but ive looked back over you thread and even you state" its taken a year but this thread is really getting there",now it would be a shame if it just fell flat on its face.

i know you will read this, you dont have to answer, and i dont want any one else
posting anything about agreeing/disagreeing..just a mature reaction i am holding at an olive branch, not for me but for everyone else who you have brought onto this thread and rely /on your view comments..
cheers
mos

Hilary, can I, as a newbie to Forex, ask you to come back - I really am interested in this although I haven't traded it yet. The idea of trading the market early am before work is what attracts me. I have no idea yet when the best and worst times to trade are - so all opinions gratefully received.

Please :-)

Bobcolby - 19 Jan 2005 07:56 - 2721 of 11056

Hilary I need you. Without your sure hand on the tiller this thread is not the same and may lose clarity. Your guidance has turned my trading round and I rely on your expert, concise comments.

Triggered sell kicked in @ 720. Still running the 700 short - obviously should have set the limit to take both out @630. You live and learn. My trigger long is sitting @ 620 ;(

mostrader - 19 Jan 2005 08:32 - 2727 of 11056

Agree that 40 is the target - trouble is (for me at least) I reckon that if it gets there it'll keep on going - so I've got stops set at 40 - which will blow away yesterday's gains ;(

You win some you lose some.

As I typed it took me out -40 and -50 ;(

mostrader - 19 Jan 2005 08:42 - 2730 of 11056

Maggot - 19 Jan 2005 08:57 - 2734 of 11056

Having a torrid time on Cable. Put on a long last night with stop at 632 - and it went down to 625. My main problem always seems to be setting stops too close. Think I need money management lessons! Currently long Cable 1.8722, just raised my stop to 38.

mostrader - 19 Jan 2005 09:09 - 2735 of 11056

fyg my stops @80 bit wide but had a decent start,so stick with my gut feel
