goldfinger - 23 Feb 2012 08:38 - 272 of 682

Very solid results.

Pleased with them.

TANKER - 23 Feb 2012 08:41 - 273 of 682

deployment of capital . how much S/D

ahoj - 24 Feb 2012 12:11 - 274 of 682

SAP results was great. CNA should get coverage over the weekend.

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 08:36 - 275 of 682

there N/S is going to be a great buy and more to come great news for holders .
the only way is up

HARRYCAT - 27 Feb 2012 08:39 - 276 of 682

If you think the market is going to drop 400+ points, then this is going to go with it! The only way is not, therefore, up!

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 08:57 - 277 of 682

harryu read again for the divs in these bad times for markets and i will sell my rsa before or after div and if these fall will buy more

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 09:13 - 278 of 682

i have taken a chance andsold just a few of these to buy more rsa as they go ex div in 4 weeks and hope cna dont rise to much before i switch back

Chris Carson - 27 Feb 2012 09:39 - 279 of 682

TANK - It's obvious that you buy dividend paying shares only, by the shed load. And sell them immediately the divi is paid out. Why you cannot just say that is beyond me. Constant ramping, ie my contact at LLOY has told me to buy etc is just that ramping. Just be honest.

cynic - 27 Feb 2012 09:47 - 280 of 682

i happen to hold a few CNA but can's say they are getting me remotely excited and the divi does not interest me much either - i prefer cap growth ..... as i concur with tanks that the markets are likely to tumble (i don't hazard a number on that) following in the footsteps of the dow (am already short there) i may cash them in

Chris Carson - 27 Feb 2012 09:53 - 281 of 682

cynic - Fine that is your choice. TANK in my opinion doesn't buy anything for capital growth, practically impossible judging by these boards he doesn't hold anything for more than five minutes.

cynic - 27 Feb 2012 10:13 - 282 of 682

i sometimes get accused of that too!

Chris Carson - 27 Feb 2012 10:19 - 283 of 682

Cynic - Nothing wrong with that, I use spread bets to make money. Same with TANKS tactics were all here to make money. But hey, I admit it :O)

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 10:21 - 284 of 682

CC any one with any idea knows the markets go up and down why not buy low and sell with a nice profit it has made me very comfortable and i have watch tthese people holding then upset when they fall. my way works . and as done for over 28 years . inout shake it all about is the song

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 10:22 - 285 of 682

cc i bought and sold lloys a while back 23 times in one day .

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 10:24 - 286 of 682

and now my plan is cna quite and rsa to rise for the next 4 weeks but i will sell when my target is reached and back in to CNA for the ride

Chris Carson - 27 Feb 2012 10:29 - 287 of 682

TANK - No argument from me there mate. But I am right re your tactics am I not?

TANKER - 27 Feb 2012 10:39 - 288 of 682

cc i idea of gambling is to make money
if you want to lose money do not sell simple

Chris Carson - 27 Feb 2012 10:41 - 289 of 682

No Shit, thanks TANK :O)

BAYLIS - 27 Feb 2012 10:48 - 290 of 682

What is this BULLGAS.

cynic - 27 Feb 2012 10:50 - 291 of 682

i'm not nearly clever enough to be a day-trader ..... that has always seemed to me to be a sure-fire way of losing money unless you are a dedicated professional rather than a dilettante amateur
