ESA can be either contributory or income-related. In lay mans terms ESA has taken over from Income Support when their is work related activity connected.

The question was not about sickness. If you are self employed, you can get working tax credit, job seekers allowance, housing benefit. Just read the official web pages.

When I sat in Zagreb with temperatures in the 30s c, some years ago with the Secretary to the Supreme Court of Croatia (the uncle of my wife), his wife had prepared the food and we started with melon, the wine and other produce were from his friends.

Beautiful evening, but I can't remember what else we ate, but I know it was good, and the company was marvellous and their problems overwhelming.

Memories.

I can recall thinking our aims were similar, but how insignificant we all were.

Perhaps, it was the Slivovitz and Vinjak from friends.
