My post above (2758) is not not intended to offend any holder of BPRG. I really do have respect for all share holders. (expect shorters- who I believe borrow our shares))We are all in the same game trying to make a few bob. SEO is possible one way to stem those loses

stockdog - 13 Apr 2005 09:56 - 2763 of 27111

Perhaps it's worth SEO casting its eye over the value of BPRG's IP assets and making an all share offer for them.

There is obvious synergy both in the operational interest and cancelling in a novel way the court case, so all those provisions can be written back to P&L on both sides.

It would give BPRG shareholders fair value based on good future prospects.

It keeps BPRG in business, although inevitably some overhead cost savings and redundancies (especially failed top management) would be required.

Their bio-degradable medicine capsule seems a good product if it can be properly marketed and rolled out (SEO would be good at this I am sure).

Then there are all the other IP goodies in BPRG's bag.

It would be a grand gesture with a keen eye to future expansion of profits for SEO.

The potential dilution on SEO's SP should not be too great to bear.

Anyone know Ian Balkin well enough to propose this to him?

Sorry barry didn't mean to imply you thought that.

Barry Harris - 13 Apr 2005 10:08 - 2765 of 27111

No probs.Chiva. Thought I just make it clear just in case my previous post was mis-read by others

robinhood - 13 Apr 2005 10:09 - 2766 of 27111

stockdog, do not think you should stable a good stud (seo) and a donkey (bprg)together. The result will only be a "also run"

Dynamite - 13 Apr 2005 10:12 - 2767 of 27111

SD I had exactly the same thoughts and came here to post them. Also I think that this is now the end of BPRG and SEO court case; it really would be silly for BPRG to continue it now. So sad though it maybe BPRG's decline has to be SEO's further rise ;-0

SD....I have sold a dog and bought back SEO how about you are you up for the challenge ' sell a dog and buy GFM' and see who does best????????

what are the chances that we are both going to be the same price at the end of the day? i dont mean to sound gloaty and i do have genuine sympathy for SOME bprg holders but it wasnt that long ago this bb was filled with vile bastards wanting to crucify the seo board and put seo out of business. truth be told, this could happen to any blue sky company. even seo.

bhunt1910 - 13 Apr 2005 10:33 - 2769 of 27111

I think there is a salutory lesson to be learnt from BPRG - it certainly made me stop and reasses my risk and exposure to SEO.

I am still comfortable with my risk and holding - but it did make me stop, think and reappraise my position.

I also think it is the end of the CC. Any new mgmnt wouldstop wasting further money on it and reach a painless mutual-use and cheap agreement with SEO. I said months ago that SEO and BPRG sp was converging!

Shows what can happen though - they just had their results a month ago - and then they come out with this. This stockmarket place can be VERY treacherous - Lord help us!!!

bosley - 13 Apr 2005 10:42 - 2771 of 27111

2 big buys went through this morning for nearly 6 million shares. was that you baza, reappraising your position?? :)

Jacks - 13 Apr 2005 10:44 - 2772 of 27111

Adie H. Where are you?????????

Are you still in SEO? I know you were hedging your bets on both BPRG and SEO and bought at 1.30. I hope you sold BPRG weeks ago and stuck the funds in SEO.

overgrowth - 13 Apr 2005 10:45 - 2773 of 27111

Bos - strange that 6m buys didn't affect the bid/offer, there must be an equivalent no. of sells on their way.

Today is looking like a much needed consolidation day. Shares which spike up almost vertically have an annoying tendency to spike down again twice as quick.

With a bit of luck we may even get a chance to top up at 19p again before the next surge on news.

andysmith - 13 Apr 2005 10:52 - 2774 of 27111

Bos, share your views on thos BPRG holders who took a swipe at us when we were 4p and they were 130p haeding to 300p!! Oh dear!! But at the end of the day there are many decent BPRG holders who are in deep shit right now and it might have been us in that boat but for the excellent job done by Balchin and the team. I've offered them some advice on how to retrieve their losses.
I think we will be more likely to see 300p within 3 years than BPRG who going cheap might be worth a few bob on a possible takeover????

Oops Sorry wrong Thread

bhunt1910 - 13 Apr 2005 12:12 - 2777 of 27111

Hi Bos - I wish it was me doing the buying. I also think that there may be an opportunity over next day or 2 when price will consolidate and maybe even drop a little, to top up again -

Biggest mistake i ever made was not get into this one........I had the buy nearly executed at 10p but ended up buting more stream group!!!

I'm sitting on a heavy loss on a number of my stocks cause i miss judged a couple of momentum driven shares but im going to close most of my loss making portfolio and pile into this when the dust settles a bit

Chiva20 - 13 Apr 2005 12:47 - 2779 of 27111

I imagine there will be a few BPRG holders having a dabble here. Good for you blackbelt, reckon it won't be long before you start making a profit again, the only direction we're headed here is up up up!!

pisces - 13 Apr 2005 13:18 - 2780 of 27111

I stumbled upon this excellent forum about 2 months ago and having bought seo at 13p at 8am i got to work and sold one hour later for a 900.00 profit. At the time i was elated but on reflection it was the worst trading decision i ever made.I have bought back in various times at the 20p level and im`e not making the same mistake twice. These babies are going away for a long time because fortunately i don`t have to touch the money, but anyone not setting a stop loss on such a fast moving share must be more daring than i am.
It`s also very refreshing to find everyone getting on well on this forum as i understand things can get a bit heated on these boards.Keep up the good work you guys [and girls] it makes compulsive reading.

blackbelt - 13 Apr 2005 14:07 - 2781 of 27111

Ive taken the plunge into SEO, dumped pixology at a heavy loss but think it would take too long to recoup.....this provides a long term potential as well as the opportunity to salvage a bit of capital!

I also feel shares will reiterate a buy on this one tommorrow in their plays which should help generate a bit more upside....
