I knew I had a sister somewher - but my parents would not say where !!

queen1 - 21 Oct 2005 15:34 - 2790 of 3776

Ah, it's nice to see dil on the end of some justified criticism for a change after all the abuse he has thrown at myself and other holders. Mint sauce anyone?

Dil - 21 Oct 2005 19:41 - 2791 of 3776

hewitt ... go look at all the contracts Baltimore signed with major blue chip companies ... where did it get them ?

I've also recently signed 2 contracts with BT .... so what ?

Contracts are contracts , profits are profits ..... show me the profits !!

hewittalan6 - 21 Oct 2005 20:52 - 2792 of 3776

Dil,
If you are only interested in companies that are showing profits why on earth are you posting on the thread of a speculative stock. Stick to the blue chips if that is as constructive as you can be. Or do you have some strange other motive regarding personalities or vendettas.
Just as you can show financially wrecked companies winning contracts and going bust, I can show profitable companies that have suddenly gone bang. Neither is the norm, but I have other things to do than make mischief on a stock I have no interest in.
Having said that, I have more to do than look at sheep.
As for the contracts, you are being either ignorant, illiterate or stupid. An insignificant thing such as a bored hill farmer opening a bank account or getting a phone line wouldn't make news in the staff canteen for a very bored counter clerk at either BT or Barclays, so its not comparable.
Please try and touch base with planet Earth before your next very poor attempt at rubbishing.
Alan

queen1 - 21 Oct 2005 22:51 - 2793 of 3776

Well said hewittalan6 - dil has been posting negative comments on this thread for months and he doesn't own a single share. Balanced arguments we are all in favour of. But misleading, arrogant and acidic postings have no place here. We all know YOO is a risk. We're the ones taking the risk. dil isn't so, with the greatest respect, he really should let it lie.

Dil - 21 Oct 2005 23:53 - 2794 of 3776

Not making mischief Hewlitt just adding some balance. The over optimistic posts of McBullsh*t and co are here on this thread for all to read ... and they've been saying the same old crap month after month as the price has fallen.

Start at post 1 read them all then tell us who the ostriches are !

Dil - 21 Oct 2005 23:54 - 2795 of 3776

Queeny is a tw*t who has never called anything right ... do a search on QTR ... I rest my case.

hewittalan6 - 22 Oct 2005 08:00 - 2796 of 3776

Mmmm, Contracts question too dificult for you to justify then?

iPublic - 22 Oct 2005 11:33 - 2797 of 3776

I've created a brand new YOO thread here:

http://www.moneyam.com/InvestorsRoom/posts.php?tid=8844#lastread

Mactavish

Thanks for all your efforts and I hope you continue to post on the new thread!

Guys. Get over to the new thread now and let's talk about YOO!!

Thanks.

queen1 - 22 Oct 2005 13:12 - 2798 of 3776

There you go again dil, for all to see. Being abusive to and about posters. I stated, quite calmly and in non-threatening language that, as you don't hold YOO shares and are therefore not sharing the risk, with the greatest respect, you really should let it lie. And what do we get back in return? Abuse, arrogance and foul language. Please grow up. I really don't know what your beef is, nor in all honesty do I care, but please don't make everyone else's life as miserable as yours.

Electra Partners with YooMedia for Richer Interactivity on Freeview

YooMedia plc, the AIM traded interactive media and games group, has signed a partnership agreement with Electra Entertainment Limited (Electra), a provider of next-generation interactive entertainment services for Freeview set top boxes, to supply a collection of free and premium interactive services on Freeview.

The new interactive services accessible from any channel will feature richer functionality, graphics and sound than that currently available on Freeview interactive content. The new content will be supplied to households nationally using YooMedia's newly-launched datacasting service as announced in its interim results on 26 September 2005. The technology required to receive the Electra service will be licensed to consumer electronics manufacturers for incorporation in devices such as digital set top boxes, integrated digital televisions and personal video recorders.

Additionally, YooMedia and Electra will collaborate to develop advanced fixed odds gaming and dating services for inclusion in the Electra Freeview service platform.

YooMedia's Group Managing Director, Neil MacDonald, said: We are delighted to announce our first datacasting service on Freeview, working in partnership with Electra. We developed the datacasting service to provide a sophisticated and state of the art interactive delivery mechanism for the rapidly expanding digital market. Freeview is the fastest growing digital TV platform in the UK with over five million households. Many industry commentators believe that Freeview will emerge as the largest single platform over the coming years and we believe that the time is right for high quality interactive services to be made available on it.

Electra's Chairman, Jasper Smith, said: The Freeview world is evolving fast with new channel launches, enhanced boxes and rapid take up. We believe Electra's technology and services are the next stage in transforming the Freeview entertainment experience. As the UK 's largest independent interactive provider, YooMedia is an ideal partner for our business.

Dateline 3G

Customers simply dial a simple 5 digit video shortcode to access the Dateline 3G service where they are greeted by an interactive video hostess who guides them through a series of simple steps to build their video profile. These profiles are then matched and subscribers can exchange personalised video messages with the prospective partners of their choice.

Dateline

Dateline is the UK 's original computer dating company and the launch of the 3G mobile service continues in the brand's tradition of offering British singles the most advanced matching techniques available. The new mobile video service is available now and it complements Dateline's existing portfolio of web, interactive TV, mobile and IVR products.

surely dil is allowed to put his point across that some of the opinion on here is misleading to say the least, re the fact that he is getting personal maybe he should not but he does get a fair amount himself for being bearish on this.

all that aside he still is a welsh gimp :-)

This is a high-risk high reward investment that I believe is turning the corner. The house broker has seen to it that it sits at 7p - the target in their now infamous broker note. Is it all bad news? Why am I investing? I think the worst is over and we will see a share price comfortably over 10p by Christmas. Hopefully the company will dispose of the excess baggage known as EVO and move on. There are several brokers queuing to take it on and another broker house, who is extremely positive about its prospects, has said it will soon start coverage.

We have an MD, Neil MacDonald, with his finger firmly on the pulse. He knows the business and knows what he has to do to make it profitable. He was flawless at Dixons and he put forward the idea of PC World all those years ago. He has saved already over 4 million of overheads costs well above those initially anticipated. T

he company has been building a market for its own key brands - Dateline and Avago. Dateline's video-dating date with 3 has already scooped a very prestigious international prize. It has got another gaming channel launched - Yooplay - with a stong relationship with Channel 5 and Endemol. This relationship is poised to strengthen over the coming months and hopefully years. It enjoys excellent relations with SKY and all the terrestrial channels. It is sitting on a large Government NHS contract. It is beginning trials of the revolutionary BBTV with NTL. It has worked with some huge names and continues to do so. The YES division was a stroke of genius and is pulling out all the stops. It is sai to be signing clients on an almost daily basis.

Turnover is sitting on an annual 100m - a huge turnaround from last year. Mike Sinclair, a very astute businessman and Chairman, knows the task is to convert this into profits. The company is imminently about to become cash-flow positive. The company are happy with the cash situation and it should be enough to see them through. It is my opinion that Yoomedia is set up to make 4-5 million PBT in 2006 if they carry on doing as they are. It is signing deals on a regular basis and is the fastest growing interactive company in the UK. Mike Sinclair's dream is to turn it into a world leader.

At the moment, its share price is a magnificent 7p valuing the company at just over 33m.

CONCLUSION:

Obvious. In my opinion undervalued. Huge potential.

Now Bill Gates is getting in on the action this is becoming a hot area---anyone think he might be running an eye over Yoo? just a thought-ever hopeful and blue today!

skids - 27 Oct 2005 19:34 - 2808 of 3776

Gates is probably just interested because MS are releasing/developing a run-once DVD format. Maybe he's interested in using (or copying) the interactive bit for his new format!
