The Problem with relying on "the Cloud" - another term for www, I perceive no difference - is that Security is much more important Those that have a vested interest ill say it's most secure etc etc . but it's not their money / life that's destroyed by a breach . . . Indeed, like a Politician bandying words - Almost instinctively I believe the Opposite
It is cheapness that s driving use of the Cloud and sooner or later crooks ( including Government ) will want to get heir hands on your data Stuff . . . . without your permission - and that will cost far more than the up-front savings.

Similarly, Banks have been using "networks" to move data about and I would expect they have some form of error-checking in place - but not strong enough to defeat a hacker ------ If the US Gove has been hacked by teens in Bedrooms - wow!
what hope is there they are now secure?
