I seem to recall that while the site was in beta test there was only one forum. Doris proposed pay-per-view and freeview forums and invited beta testers to come up with a name for each. The January launch date that Skinners refers to is possibly the date that the second forum was created and the oiks were allowed in.

But then again, I struggle to remember what happened last week, so I might be a bit hazy on events of 10 or 11 years ago.

There was just one BB while beta testing and then there were suggestions on the names for the new BBs. I remember being a beta tester on ADVFN and was a poster on the site before it. I think it was called something like EDSI. Maybe someone remembers it.

Chris Mullin, a former Foreign Office minister under Tony Blair, suggested a return for former Defence Secretary Alan Johnson and former Chancellor Alistair Darling, who he called a "very credible witness on the economy."
