Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

I seem to recall that while the site was in beta test there was only one forum. Doris proposed pay-per-view and freeview forums and invited beta testers to come up with a name for each. The January launch date that Skinners refers to is possibly the date that the second forum was created and the oiks were allowed in.
But then again, I struggle to remember what happened last week, so I might be a bit hazy on events of 10 or 11 years ago.

I think that's right Hils - the link
here was before the launch date.

Seems to me that some posters on this thread should be buying shares in cocoa companies - myself included. :-)

There was just one BB while beta testing and then there were suggestions on the names for the new BBs. I remember being a beta tester on ADVFN and was a poster on the site before it. I think it was called something like EDSI. Maybe someone remembers it.

Wasn't it Kayak who suggested Traders' and Investors' Rooms? I remember a debate about where the apostrophe should go so it would be grammatically correct.

If it was about apostrophes then it would be kayak. He was and is the chief of the punctuation police.

Labour's Chris Mullin Calls For Ed Miliband To Bring Back The 'Grown-Ups' Alistair Darling And Alan Johnson
Jessica Elgot | 13 Aug 2013
Ed Miliband must "bring back the grown-ups" to strengthen his team and his message, an influential former MP said on Tuesday.
Chris Mullin, a former Foreign Office minister under Tony Blair, suggested a return for former Defence Secretary Alan Johnson and former Chancellor Alistair Darling, who he called a "very credible witness on the economy."
