anyone for Zi Med. ? (ZIM)

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 16:16

Is anyone into Zi Medical like me ? Gone up a penny today to 7.6p on strength of Sunday Telegraph article - it's looking better, at long last !

Fundamentalist - 22 Jan 2004 19:21 - 28 of 103

Before buying read the following statement - i have been watching these but this has deterred me in the short term:

Zi Medical PLC - Proposed Equity Issue
RNS Number:5240UZi Medical PLC22 January 2004Zi Medical plc (the 'Company')Proposed equity issueZi Medical plc, the specialist developer of innovative medical devicetechnologies with an emphasis on drug infusion therapy, announced today that theBoard is considering a further equity issue to strengthen the Company's balancesheet, provide additional working capital to support the increase in turnoverexpected following the launch of the Company's RedEye infusion device and tosupport the Company's development of new products.Whilst the Board is encouraged by the support for the Company's shares shown bythe Stock Market in recent days it is anticipated that if the proposed equityissue proceeds it will be at a price lower than the current price quoted in themarket.Executive Chairman, Michael Fort said:'We are encouraged to see that the achievements of the Company have beenreceived with such great enthusiasm by investors. With the commercial launch ofthe RedEye product, in partnership with Baxter Healthcare, we believe that theCompany has reached a stage in its commercial development where it would beappropriate to seek further funding to facilitate the Company's future growth.'

true but the price that day i think was around 25/26p dipped my toes in today just 1 thousand at 17.5p I think it should go on to test 30p plus from here i did not expect to get the chance to buy in under 19p this to me is now a no brainer
IMHO

robstuff - 04 Feb 2004 14:56 - 30 of 103

Discusting - i didn't get offered any at 12p!

BANKONE - 08 Feb 2004 16:19 - 31 of 103

This share up 10.8% friday and strong buying after the bell 125k. Profit takers have sold yet the price has risen - Maybe a big order to fill from one of the institutions. Denzil where did you get the upside target of 41p from and is that target a possibility short term or will we have to wait 1-2 years. Good luck looking forward to Monday.

hilldee - 09 Feb 2004 11:40 - 32 of 103

robstuff. You and the rest of the stockholders WERE NOT OFFERED ANY @ 12P, at least MOST of the stockholders. Has there been any explanation from the company as to why there was not a simple rights issue and why the arbitary figure of 12p was arrived at when, patently, a far higherfigure COULD HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED.

BANKONE - 09 Feb 2004 21:25 - 33 of 103

Can someone advise me as to why City Equities buy shares in this company and then sell them off - Is it significant that when they announce that they have sold them off the price decreases significantly. Have they taken all the profit out of this companies share value and offloaded their shares onto so called 'CLIENTS'. Informed opinions welcome.

robstuff - 16 Feb 2004 10:18 - 34 of 103

Should have been a rights, it would still have knocked the price but everyone would be an equal s/holder, instead there's instant profit for a few at the cost of others, Damaging! Probably unable to get a rights underwritten, all in all the signs are not good and I have sold.

hilldee - 09 Mar 2004 14:13 - 35 of 103

Lets set the past to one side. The 'tree' has been duly shaken and all the loose holders, such as Robstuff, have left the scene. But, of course, all that is 'financial' stuff. The company actually make a living from selling its products and they seem to be doing quite well. There are STILL the age old rumors of an offer for the company and (since I was in them @4p - out at 24p and back in @15p) I think I will let this one ride until the next'awakening'

kantona - 09 Mar 2004 17:15 - 36 of 103

agree hilldee .. we have not any news from ZIM since the placing ( to my knowledge) if we check on the last set of reports it was mentioned that they were in advanced stages of new contracts etc..i vll try to find this..so it is the case of being patient with this .. if anything consider topping up ..do expect this to go upwards from here on in..

good luck .. i hold some

kantona - 10 Mar 2004 12:44 - 37 of 103

Hilldee ..things are looking brighter ..was up 2.75 at one stage earlier ..but that was due to outrages spread by mm's 16-19 ..anyway ..now it is becoming more realistic currently showing 16-17.5 .. but lets hope we get the some news on this sooner rather then later.. which i believe is the reason for about turn today ..it vll be interesting to see how this finishes today.. no doubt the mm's always get to know things in advance ..so well have to see the day out b4 reading too much into todays rise

kantona - 12 Mar 2004 15:44 - 38 of 103

offer is 20p ...something is brewing

kantona - 12 Mar 2004 15:47 - 39 of 103

draw?startDate=08%2F03%2F04&period=5D&ep

here's the current 5 day chart ..either they are tipped in the weekend .. or news of the some deals in the offing .. this is only my interpretation of the current upward movement

BANKONE - 12 Mar 2004 21:29 - 40 of 103

Kantona, I agree with you something is about to happen, maybe the contract announcements that investors have been waiting for, but can you explain what type of buys can be made after the bell and to the extent that they have bought.
425,000 shares purchased after 16.30hrs the majority of the deals at a premium price. I wonder what Monday will bring - its got to be a blue day again Good luck :-)

robstuff - 25 Mar 2004 16:48 - 41 of 103

Rather be a loose holder than a loser thanks hilldee..whoops down again.:)

skyhigh - 29 Apr 2004 13:14 - 42 of 103

As I was the one to start this thread-I might as well put my 2 pence worth in !
It did fly ! but I don't think the SM thought it would be so soon ? Went up to 32p + shortly after. (wish I sold back then but didn't)
The small cap mkt overall is taking a battering at the moment and Zi Med is being impacted as well. should turn around once sentiment improves and buyers return.
Also, Zi Med & mms have been cautious not over play expectations.
Once we start to see a string of good news releases ie contracts, expected sales & revenues etc., the price will resume it's upward momentum.
I, for one, would continue to top up at these levels, if I had the spare dosh.

betspec - 30 Apr 2004 12:46 - 43 of 103

has anyone got the date of the sunday mali tip on zim and the article thanks.

skyhigh - 06 May 2004 14:59 - 44 of 103

Probably an MM signal for people to be able to sell at this level before they take the price down even lower ? :( ... I hope not :)

drinkgood - 11 May 2004 22:45 - 45 of 103

skyhigh - 12 May 2004 09:11 - 46 of 103

Drinkgood must have been lost for words, speachless even !

Anyway, I wonder if we'll see blue as we head towards the end of this week.
Just a hunch, I think we'll start to see the price head north gradually and good news will be released in the next month or two. Will need to be patient. All last year the price did nothing, then exploded in Jan. I think the same sort of thing will happen again (IMHO, DOYR) ... good luck all :)

hilldee - 12 May 2004 09:48 - 47 of 103

have been away and NEVER use my PC whilst I am relaxing - as I have discovered, its all too stimulating. Cant quite find WHY the drop in ZI and I have to agree with O,Neill that it will be surprising if they reach the levels so far attained this year - but that doesnt mean that there wont be the potential for some profit. How many of you could actually have achieved the sale prices of 25p and how many other stupid b.....s actually PAID these prices. Is anyone in touch with reality out there? If you are prepared to pay 27p for a share that was 4p two weeks before, without any HARD news, then go tothe back of the class.
