reading from the results: the weight of the boxes used in the trails was higher than planned as our panel supplier increased panel weight on a crucial supply shipment. what a balls-up. will arx be getting compensation?

The company must be expecting orders for them to invest in a factory with a capacity output of 6000 to 15000 units a year. Currently they are manually made, I think it is something like 10 units a month (I stand corrected on this)
From the RNS.
" The new equipment will permit the company to move from a primarily manual system of production to a more automated mode. The new plant and equipment is expected to increase
manufacturing capacity to between 6,000 and 15,000 ULDs per annum depending upon
the number of shifts implemented. As a result unit production costs are expected
to fall significantly once panel production moves fully in house in the second
half of 2004. As well as producing ULDs, the plant will produce composite panels
for other markets such as automotive, construction and the military."

IMHO I think this will come good in the end as it sounds like an innovative product and with the lighter weight/fuel savings and higher durability I can't see why the airlines wouldn't be buying unless a competitor came in but can't see that at the minute...but that is just my opinion.
