Fundamentalist - 28 May 2004 09:19 - 28 of 56

Morning all

tx again Martini and Playboy

Nice to wake up to a blue sky and a blue screen. PTG finally appears on the up again and DNX looks positive.

Anyone here trade/hold MCTY. Currently undergoing a buy back programme after a good set of results. Looking to trade them vs the housebuilding sector as likely to outperform the sector if house prices come under pressure.

Off to play golf later - have a good day and good luck all

little woman - 28 May 2004 09:58 - 29 of 56

MCTY is on my watch list. Had some, but they dropped too much in the
days after going ex div, that my stop loss kicked in.

little woman - 28 May 2004 10:01 - 30 of 56

Ex div 05 May - then -45 over next 5 days,

vasey - 28 May 2004 10:22 - 33 of 56

CASH (Cardpoint) is having a good morning. It's been a bit all-over-the-place since it came back after the suspension and the Trading Statement. Any views?

zarif - 28 May 2004 11:16 - 34 of 56

Morning all:
Vasey you are right about the lurkers.Come on Guys "Dont sit on the fence and watch -Jump into the playing field and even penalties are allowed -no red cards here."

vasey - 28 May 2004 11:26 - 35 of 56

zarif, I hope you will be taking part in Poochy's Gee Gee Race tomorrow....41 horses. If anybody wants to know what I am rambling about, visit GD's Tea Rooms, the EPIC is TEAS. No skill is required. No money is required. Jeffmack will put up the runners and riders for the 3.15 at Kempton tomorrow and you 'bag-a-nag'! It's even easier than paper-trading shares.

little woman - 28 May 2004 11:45 - 36 of 56

Looks like a lot of people think there is going to be a sell off in
the US this afternoon/evening!

ThePlayboy - 28 May 2004 11:59 - 37 of 56

LW ftse already priced most of it in imho!

little woman - 28 May 2004 12:22 - 38 of 56

I agree, but it'll be interesting if it turns out that the US doesn't have a
sell off - that'll throw everyone off!

daves dazzlers - 28 May 2004 12:52 - 39 of 56

any one else offloaded m&s,, wlw, today.

jj50 - 28 May 2004 13:06 - 40 of 56

DD No, decided not sell MKS at the moment - other interest than Philip Green will probably surface and Green is going to have his firm offer in by the end of next week, so shall wait and see.

vasey - 28 May 2004 13:08 - 41 of 56

I'm also holding my MKS. Just looked at the chart and think there could be more than one interested party once one person makes a formal announcement.

zarif - 28 May 2004 13:09 - 42 of 56

Lw : My thinking is along the same lines as you that it will pop and drop. Also I personally would not like to hold say large positions over the long weekend with all this oil, crude, gas, terror alerts etc.thats my opinion and as u say the market can do anything and be right and with the yanks never know what is going to happen.

stockbunny - 28 May 2004 16:23 - 43 of 56

Decision time looms...broker shuts at 4.30....
Unless MKS does something amazing in the next 10 minutes
I'm going to hold until Tuesday and prolong the tension!! (lol)

stockbunny - 28 May 2004 16:28 - 44 of 56

OK decision made - I'm still 'in' for Tuesday on MKS!!

vasey - 28 May 2004 16:36 - 45 of 56

amazing auction on MKS 1,654,100 sells v 272,995 buys......but if there's another interested party over the weekend........

stockbunny - 28 May 2004 16:39 - 46 of 56

It has been totally mad today on MKS or at least it feels as if
it has been!!!

Martini - 28 May 2004 16:40 - 47 of 56

Dratt dratt and double dratt. Looks like Splat did me on 4425 in LWs FTSE100 competition barring a big change in CA!
Will try to do a rambling wrap later if I stay sober. Dont stay for it you wont miss much.
Have a great weekend and bank holiday all.
