BP are they worth 350p (BP)

mitzy - 25 May 2010 08:48

The oil rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has damaged BP's reputation will they manage to avoid a share collapse to 350p.?

lots and lots of messiness to come and that's for sure ...... today's sp reaction says much

mitzy - 21 Jun 2010 08:36 - 281 of 1170

No hope here.

cynic - 21 Jun 2010 08:41 - 282 of 1170

no hope for what???

mitzy - 21 Jun 2010 09:05 - 283 of 1170

BP..!

cynic - 21 Jun 2010 09:19 - 284 of 1170

reports of BP's death are premature! ...... however, the company is certainly in for a pretty torrid time, though where that SHOULD leave sp, is anyone's guess

More easy ways to make money on the markets without the daily hassle surrounding BP. They have cut many corners, and done many wrongs, but lets not forget all the bent banks, and hedge fund managers of whom a lot of them should be punished in HMP.

cynic - 21 Jun 2010 09:58 - 286 of 1170

but buggered if they will be!!

halifax - 21 Jun 2010 11:01 - 287 of 1170

difficult to find any upside in the sp unless they succeed in plugging the well which appears unlikely for at least a further month.

Clubman3509 - 21 Jun 2010 11:16 - 288 of 1170

Just heard on Bloomberg Bernie Madden has been bragging in jail that just before he was nicked he moved 9 billion to three close people. One inmate who claims Madden told him who the three were is doing a deal with FBI. I would nick his Mrs, and family or at least make them live in the Bronx.

halifax - 21 Jun 2010 11:21 - 289 of 1170

is that anything to do with BP?

Clubman3509 - 21 Jun 2010 11:23 - 290 of 1170

No it concerned what Clinic said previous about bent bankers, and fund managers

Come on Halifax wake up

halifax - 21 Jun 2010 11:28 - 291 of 1170

this is the BP thread not the Jewish Chronicle.

Clubman3509 - 21 Jun 2010 11:37 - 292 of 1170

Good one

Clubman3509 - 21 Jun 2010 12:04 - 293 of 1170

From jewberg news

BP Chief Executive, Tony Hayward will draw on a pension pot of 10.8m if he resigns from his position in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, according to the jewberg news.

The US cutting corners on safty again.

The bio-tech company Monsanto can sell genetically modified seeds before safety tests on them are completed, the US Supreme Court has ruled.

A lower court had barred the sale of the modified alfalfa seeds until an environmental impact study could be carried out.

hlyeo98 - 22 Jun 2010 13:19 - 295 of 1170

Keep on shorting BP 333p now.

mitzy - 22 Jun 2010 14:19 - 296 of 1170

Worth 100p or less I reckon.

Clubman3509 - 22 Jun 2010 14:24 - 297 of 1170

Do not agree, but who knows. When Hayward is dumped, and the well is finally capped shorters will jump ship, and a very good bounce up IMHO

cynic - 22 Jun 2010 14:26 - 298 of 1170

that may well be so, but capping will not be completed for at least another 2 months and meanwhile the financial pressures on bp will mount and mount ..... i see the figure of $100bn liability is now quite widely floated - amazing what a dumbcluck like me can deduce without computers and calculators!

Clubman3509 - 22 Jun 2010 14:47 - 299 of 1170

Cynic it must be right it was in the Sun yes.

Tabby must still be walking his dog down the gay village
