Aerobox (ARX)

keith thomas - 20 Apr 2004 17:06

will it ever recover to the 38p i paid for them??

Andy - 13 May 2005 23:46 - 280 of 520

Looking at the chart, ARX was lost a lot of money in a short space of time.

It's hard to see any inspiration for buying the stock on a pure TA point of view IMHO.

proptrade - 16 May 2005 10:24 - 281 of 520

a better chart but not better prospects. Andy, i 100% agree with you - ORDERS ORDERS ORDERS will change the fortune of ARX:

ARX is listed on the Berlin Boerse I suspect illegaly and they don't help the share price at all.

proptrade - 17 May 2005 08:55 - 283 of 520

don't worry about the German listing. it doesn't trade 1578575.BE is the code.

so many stocks list there and it tends to be to satisfy old rules about german investors. the thing is when they trade there is (or at least wasn't until a few years ago) no real buy-in mkt so there were potentially tasty arbs. doesn't really happen any more though...

Andy - 17 May 2005 21:43 - 284 of 520

proptrade,

I agree, this is going down due to lack of news and firm orders IMO.

They really need to deliver now!

proptrade - 18 May 2005 15:29 - 285 of 520

tell me about it, before they run out of cash.

moneyman - 18 May 2005 22:15 - 286 of 520

AGM tomorrow. Let's hope for some news.

gildph - 25 May 2005 13:08 - 287 of 520

AEROBOX PLC
("AeroBox" or the "Company")

CHAIRMAN'S AGM TRADING UPDATE

Highlights

* Flight results continue to be very impressive - with over 50,000 flights
completed and damages rates now less than 10% of industry standards.

* Several sales proposals are being considered by leading global airlines

* New developments proceeding well for both aviation and non-aviation markets

* Cash balances at 30 April 2005 amounted to 2.5 million

Commenting on prospects, David Sebire, Chairman, said:

"Although the Board of AeroBox is disappointed with current order levels, there
are currently a number of sales proposals being considered by a number of global
airlines which may lead to further orders. Notwithstanding current order levels
the Board is still pleased with the significant progress made by the group. The
Aerobox is a proven product that meets the demanding operational requirements of
the airline industry. The opportunities for our technology and know how beyond
the initial aviation market are now being developed for both the automotive and
military markets."

Still the same message - all wonderful, except no sales. Tom Bulford on RHPS says he is told there will be some soon to major airlines. They have enough cash to last out the full year, but a little income always comes ini handy.

Still a key holding for me, albeit at a large loss. Something's gotta give sometime! There must be a Barry Gibb song along the lines of "How Low Can You Go?"

cavman2 - 25 May 2005 19:13 - 289 of 520

How about Elton John's song "Durban Deep" as this share is the Pits at the moment.

stockdog - 25 May 2005 19:26 - 290 of 520

Apparently if you take a full set of aerobox boxes in pairs and a bamboo cane, you have the perfect equipment for the game of limbo whereby each competitor dances leaning backwards under a lower and lower bamboo resting each end on a pair of smaller and smaller aeroboxes. The one who goes under lowest without falling over or touching the stick wins.

Andy - 26 May 2005 00:37 - 291 of 520

SD,

LOL!

This does have a sort of doomed look about it at present, to be honest.

I would like them to succeed, but something tells me they will run out of cash before they reach a crtitical mass, but I hope I'm wrong!

AeroBox Announces Start of Trial Order for Qatar Airways
Thursday May 26, 12:56 pm ET

RIO RANCHO, N.M., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- AeroBox Composite Structures LLC (ACS), a subsidiary of Aerobox plc (ARX) reports the delivery of 10 AeroBox LD3 cargo containers to Qatar Airways for operational and field tests.
Qatar, a rapidly-growing Middle Eastern airline, recently signed a deal with Airbus for an additional 34 aircraft, which will increase its aircraft fleet to 52 by the end of 2008. The company has also signed an agreement to purchase two A380 'super jumbos.'

Hamad A. Saeed, Container Control Officer for Qatar Airways, said, "The AeroBox containers are highly recommended by our CEO and other users. If all goes according to our safety and commercial requirements, we would proceed with acquiring a large quantity in the future."

ACS has satisfactorily delivered orders for the thermoplastic container units to Aer Lingus, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Varig and Saudi Arabian Airlines and anticipates a stronger sales relationship with Qatar Airways.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the British Civil Aviation Authority, and the European Aviation Safety Agency have granted full certification for the AeroBox units.

AeroBox containers are constructed of lightweight Aeroplaz(TM) thermoplastic composite panels. This design provides for improved strength and durability that can reduce costly repairs and extend the container's life cycle.

Aerobox plc is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.

Thanks moneyman - 10 boxes on trial. How many per aircraft X 52 fleet size? What I'm waiting for is a major US airline to confirm a sizeable order - told that there are some on the way.

sd

proptrade - 27 May 2005 12:17 - 294 of 520

i am still watch and waiting for the first order! come on boys!

moneyman - 30 May 2005 21:31 - 295 of 520

ARX must be much closer to a major order. At this price it must constitute a buy. The reason for the drop was obviously RHPS issuing a sell not. Did they see the Qatar Airways news before....NO

Did they do the same to RTD at 16p..YES....It then went to 35p+

Please DYOR

TGD - 01 Jun 2005 13:00 - 296 of 520

Re Options with air Lingus for 900 units (option taken out with initial order for 100 units) - does anyone know what sort of time limit to exercise options (12 months - 24 months ?),
Also did Virgin take out any similar options when ordering 250 units last year.
Confident orders will come and patience is a virtue - have followed this stock for some time and have only recently bought in ! It seems to me that the new kelvinBox could be the catalyst required to unlock orders as like the original box this appears to be another unique product for the aviation industry and all the trade press reports re. composite material and design seem to be totally positive about this company and it's potential markets and applications for the future.

moneyman - 07 Jun 2005 21:42 - 297 of 520

TGD there is some good discussion intermingled with the crap on ADV site. Maybe try asking over there. At this price I am certainly adding. Sellers or shorters are not going to be around for much longer.

This is a bargain.

proptrade - 09 Jun 2005 13:03 - 298 of 520

alot of sudden interst...order out there?

stockdog - 09 Jun 2005 13:15 - 299 of 520

My God - they went up! Someone knows something, an RNS must follow soon. Or maybe like me everyone suddenly realises the concept is fantastic.

I am SO in a hole on these - maybe I'll even break even if we keep going like today!
