Easynet (ESY)

proptrade - 22 Jan 2004 11:27

i was wondering if anyone out there had any strong views? this company appears to be delivering and has just turned EBITA positive after a great trading statement last week. seems like upside to +200p once results are out.

any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

proptrade - 31 Jan 2005 14:29 - 281 of 602

i know, that is why i am not so sure about them. gut tells me one is a buy and one is a sell.

ticked up 0.5p so lets wait and see.

Another largish delayed trade just went through at 104, again for an odd number. Wouldn't have thought they'd have got 104 to sell today.

220k T trade at 105 just showed up.

Found this:

-- EasyNet, a leading pan-European broadband networking company selected mPhase's core Intelligent POTS Splitter Solution (iPOTS1) for deployment. iPOTS1 provides the critical access that broadband network operators need to automatically test and maintain network quality.

well spotted. with the "sells" and MM trades, i smell a buyer about. i call these up 5 by the end of the day.

proptrade - 01 Feb 2005 11:27 - 286 of 602

slowly but surely moving ahead. now up 2.5p

proptrade - 01 Feb 2005 15:08 - 287 of 602

vwap buy just went through which explains the MM trade this morning of 100/-..obviously someone taking a punt at lifting 1.6p out of the trade.

gavdfc - 01 Feb 2005 15:13 - 288 of 602

5p up by the close would be a nice rise, but then again, 2.5 is not too shabby either.

proptrade - 01 Feb 2005 15:21 - 289 of 602

agreed. just an early morning observation but i think there is a bit more to squeeze out by the end of the day. just wierd trades going through that kind of signal a large buyer in the background calling these up.

for what its worth if we have another up day tomorrow we should see mid teens by next week. results at the end of the moth, early March.

gavdfc - 01 Feb 2005 15:26 - 290 of 602

If I remember correctly, there's been weird trades going through for a few days now, lots of T and delayed trades near the close, so your thoughts re the buyer could be correct.

This chart seems to show the recent action well and looks good for another step up perhaps.

Not really that clued up on TA, but a couple of points I've noticed. Perhaps someone with more TA knowledge could comment.

The 50ma crossing the 200ma, is that not meant to be a bullish sign, golden cross?

Also, since July last year, does the chart indicate a cup and handle pattern, also meant to be bullish?

Perhaps I'm just talking garbage (more than likely)!

proptrade - 01 Feb 2005 15:37 - 292 of 602

all makes sense to me. some blurp to show that you are correct from

http://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/goldencross.asp

great website from the new trader to the experienced sort who needs reminding occasionally!

Golden Cross
A crossover involving a security's short-term moving average (such as 20-day moving average) breaking above its long-term moving average (such as 50-day moving average) or resistance level.

As long-term indicators carry more weight, the Golden Cross indicates a bull market on the horizon and is reinforced by high trading volumes. Additionally, the long-term moving average becomes the new support level in the rising market.

Technicians might see this cross as a sign that the market has turned in favor of the stock.

It is indeed a very good site for all.

Link to the cup and handle part.

cupandhandle.asp

"A pattern on bar charts resembling a cup with a handle. The cup is in the shape of a "U" and the handle has a slight downward drift. The right-hand side of the pattern has low trading volume. It can be as short as seven weeks and as long as 65 weeks."

proptrade - 01 Feb 2005 16:06 - 294 of 602

did you see the 600/- trade go through. a vwap buyer! more behind i am sure

gavdfc - 01 Feb 2005 16:09 - 295 of 602

Yep, saw it. Hopefully more to come. If this starts to move then I will probably add more through a s/bet.

proptrade - 02 Feb 2005 12:03 - 296 of 602

buyers back again

gavdfc - 02 Feb 2005 14:45 - 297 of 602

A few more interesting trades today. (Won't mention the game last night...)

proptrade - 02 Feb 2005 14:58 - 298 of 602

up 1p (and thanks!)

gavdfc - 02 Feb 2005 15:15 - 299 of 602

A break over 110 would be nice. (Last word, you should have had a penalty!)

proptrade - 02 Feb 2005 15:27 - 300 of 602
