MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

Lovely sunshine in the Vale of Clwyd!

I used to have a dog that would only walk a certain distance, so I cut the walk down to half, within a week she decided that walking the shorter distance was enough. Her favourite walk in later life was to the fireplace for a long sleep!

B J Muncaster - 23 Sep'08 - 13:55

Look, in attempt to cut down on the number of posts talking about what we want to see in the interim statement here's a copy of a note I sent early this month to someone who does have influence; at least I think so! This note set out what I want to see in the statement and I hope I've made my point.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The interim statement is an opportunity to stop the incessant emails, abuse, phone calls and other time wasting activities generated by the PIs who, to be fair to them, feel disenfranchised in terms of meaningful information.

We do not need a chemistry lesson. So any description or comment about specific products should be couched in simple to understand language with more complex details made available on the website.

Key points for clarification:

Cash:
Shareholders and the market at large have no idea about the ability of the Company to meet its working capital requirements for the next twelve months. This uncertainty is the main reason for the lack of buying.

Given the growth in revenues and the requirement to build inventory to service sales and resources to finance debtors, nobody expects the Company to be sitting on a pile of cash. But if cash is relatively tight and no comment is made about access to cash, either by a standby facility or factoring, then the market will think a cheap fundraising is on the immediate horizon. So its extremely important to spell out precisely how the Company is meeting and plans to meet its cash flow needs.

Sales:
We know sales revenue is derived from a broad range of products; around 155 different ones the last time I heard. 155 is too big a number to warrant details about each product, and thats OK. But what is needed is very clear details about the market reach and sales generated from the following high profile lines (all subject of bullish RNSs over the last twelve months):

SCP/NRT
TabWrap/FastWrap analgesic tablets
Rocgel
Daosin

Plus, of course, any other products that produce a significant chunk of the revenues.

PIs have not forgotten about RTs comments over a year ago about a major film supply contract for a customer in the US expected to generate $5-6M p.a.. What happened/is happening to this?

Royalty/fee income:
Its no longer acceptable to mention royalty or fee income without providing actual numbers. The term Significant royalties (as was the case when referring to the first receipt from FMC) is meaningless in todays market. Tell us what the number is and well decide if its significant to our investment. Same goes for any development fee income; obviously wed like to know the source of any fees, but if disclosure of the payee is restricted by NDA then say so.

Partner Programmes/deals:
Again, its no longer acceptable to just refer to some of the worlds leading pharma companies. Most other companies having deals with pharma partners are quite capable of mentioning the name of the partner, and when I was running BPRG I was able to announce deals with P&G, Bristol Myers, Wyeth, Nestle, Boots, Perrigo, FMC, Convatec and so on and so forth, all large corporations. So I do not accept for one minute that the Company is unable to name names.

FMC readily answer questions about the progress of NRobe and its Chairman has no problem referring to it in bullish terms in his annual report. Yet aside from the earlier comment about royalties we hear nothing from MDX about its progress and prospects. If FMC meets its minimum obligation under the agreement I negotiated (I know RT made some changes to this, and I dont know what the changes were), then the probable income from FMC would go a long way to underpinning the Companys current market cap all by itself.

Kit:
How many TabWrap and other machines do we have and where are they? If some, e.g. the Meltums machine are just prototype stage, then say so. We can live with accurate information!

Management:

Obviously we need a steer about the planned make-up of the executive team post RT.

Its time the Company had a full-time internal bod responsible for communications. Currently it seems as though the job is handled by anyone and everyone on a low priority basis. The web-site is a shambles (even the copyright is still 2007!), RNSs are inconsistent, often wrong requiring amendments and usually full of typos. We need one person to own the function; Im sure youd welcome that as it would make your job much easier.

Terminology:
We really must have a clear definition of launch. I know RT had a go at it last year, but its meaning is still not clear in PIs minds. We could do with a chart on the website showing:
Product name
Its status i.e. where is it in the following chain - development, trials, pre-production, production, distribution, retail.
Its availability i.e. territories where it can be purchased.
