Haystack "Because the Electoral Commission virtually insisted on it"
I've looked for some reference to that statement but i can't find any..
The only reference i can find is this....
The government following discussions with the Electoral Commission,
and strong cross party support will extend the ability to register for 48 hours.
It was that weasel tim farron and 3 lives corbyn with the full backing of
Downing st that 'arranged' the extension...

You can tell the remainers are really worried....They've been trying to
belittle Nigel Farage all day, it would appear they've reverted to type,
because NF gets through to the ordinary man/woman in the street..

The Guardian, Mirror and Financial Times.
A commission spokesperson said: “There will be many people who wanted to register to vote last night and were not able to. We have said to the government this morning they should consider options for introducing legislation as soon as possible that would extend the deadline.
Electoral Commission says voter registration deadline should be extended after website crashed
Britain’s electoral watchdog called for the government to extend the window for registration, which shut on Tuesday evening. It comes after a surge in applications caused the government’s website to crash last night.

Anyone watch Andrew Neil grilling Osbourne on BBC yesteterday. Imo Osbourne came across as a right lying twat.
That interview won't have done the remain side any favours.

Some of the millions registering to vote recently won't even be able to vote. Some like my daughter will have received letters to register as their 18th birthday falls within the next year.
I've spoken to many people over the in out issue and all bar one are in favour of out. The under 25's I've spoken to besides my kids have all said they won't be voting except two and they will be voting out because 'my dad told me to'.
One 19 year old last night asked me if it's true that we won't be able to buy Milky Stars if we vote out because it says on the packet 'not to be sold outside EU' (there's a picture on Twitter she showed me ). Bless her :)

unfair max ..... to hold views to remain is no more misguided or worse than it is to want out ..... what is appalling in my eyes is that anyone who has their pension paid out brussels is forbidden to speak out against eu without forfeiting their pension
an interesting discussion between 10 of us at the golf club yesterday - admittedly nearly all old farts - was that 6 or 7 would vote out
there was also a very valid point that a narrow "out" majority would do more to wake up the eurocrats than a narrow "in"
in the latter case, there would be no pressure to do anything at all
i just hope that there is a large turnout, certainly in excess of 70% ..... apathy has no place in this important issue

What annoyed me c , is the Wollaston burd hooting on about the hospital failures, yet ignoring the impossible position it's in, more and more people, less money.
Somethings got to give.

Different things.
Wollaston is pissed with Brexit untruths about NHS funding post EU exit. She now has a view that we are actually better off remaining In. She has a right to vote as she wishes.
Portsmouth hospital had poor systems for dealing with patients coming to ER.
Time for Boris to repaint the bus. Expect the Brexit defection to be on the news all day.
The Brexiters will try to discredit Wollaston rather than correct the lies.

On the news this morning.
I actually listened to the bloke that wrote the inspection report on Portsmouth Hospital ER.
The hospital chief replied, acknowledged the problem and apologised for it.
No mention that it was an In / Out. EU consideration.
That's all I know. Just what the experts said.
Please share if you know something else

I'm sure this is just gossip about Gideon (Giddy to his pals) and our Dave but stranger things have supposed to have happened. Pity the pig.
Natalie Rowe is the woman who outed Chancellor George Osborne as a masochistic cokehead. Yes, according to Ms Rowe the finances of the United Kingdom are in the hands of a man who likes to crawl around the floor having his arse slapped while under the influence of cocaine.
Ms Rowe candidly told Sonia Poulton of events at parties that were attended by the so-called elite including the now Prime Minister David Cameron. It seems that the illegal use of drugs is OK for the toffs but working class must serve time for possession, using and dealing.
It is said that Cameron’s wife, when in University, was known as Snowy; I wonder why?

Why not? No more garbage than the stuff Gideon has been spouting. I haven't heard anyone being sued for the cocaine allegations which were in the newspapers. The beast of Bolsover was ejected from the Commons for repeating the allegations. Musn't disturb parliamentary decorum.
As for the size of the out win, I hope it is a landslide. But like Dave's immigration manifesto, that is an ambition, not a realistic target.

29yr old teenager you say.
No.... nearly twice that age. As far as EU concerned.. I'm voting In for economic reasons but have many political EU concerns. But it's always about economics in the end.
I responded to Maxk. I actually listened to those that were the experts on the Portsmouth ER failings. what's gullible about that.?? Do you know more than the experts?
Give us the benefit of that "university of life "experience you have on this subject please.
It had nothing to do with Wollaston or EU.

will10 is voting in for economic reasons----
Edited from money morning:-
The EU’s share of global GDP keeps on falling
When Britain joined the Common Market in 1973, the EU (as it is now) produced 38% of the world’s goods and services – 38% of global GDP.
In 1993, when the EU formally began, it produced just under 25%. Today the EU produces just 17%.
That’s a 55% drop.

much of that decline can assuredly be attributed to the growth of the chinese and indian economies
