This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.
You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.
So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.
A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.
This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.
There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :
www.seftonresources.com
There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

MJR - Please can you explain the correlation between GG and GGGW and why shoudl the sp increaser? and what evidence is there that it will other than the recent RNS from GGG?
Views would be welcomed?

jameel06 -
GGG is a normal share, GGGW are tradeable warrants that allow you to buy a GGG share at 8p for each warrant owned. So if the price of GGG is below 8p, GGGW are not worth much, only about 1p, but obviously if the price of GGG goes above 8p, the warrants are now worth a lot more, so that if GGG goes up by 1p, GGGW should rise by 1p as well, from eg 1.3p to 2.3p, so you get a much bigger gain.
Reasons why GGG will go up - recent RNS as you say, plus rising gold price, rising volumes, and chart indicates breakout is imminent. No guarantees but I thought it looked a very good punt for a quick doubler or more.

Jameel - I see SueHelen and MJ have been explaing some terms over past posts. You'll do well to make some notes for future reference. I may also add both have been extremely honest and not mis-led you as some would do on bulitinboards. Choose wisely who you take advice from or listen to as there some who will try to "deramp" (make you think a share price will fall so you sell vice versa) costing you money.

I have found this one of the pleasanter threads with none of the slagging off prevalent on some of the others. So thanks to mjr1234 primarily and the other contributors. I am not a total novice but the technicalities need a bit of following. I have found Sue Helen's help in this area fantastic.
On the strength of what had been said in the thread plus a sort of instinct that this was a thought-out, sober suggestion, I bought some myself in mid November.
I'm enjoying the ride and visiting the comments each day makes me feel that I'm as well informed as I could be.
Have an enjoyable weekend.
Explosive's comments arrived while I was 'composing' mine. He just echoes my sentiments and reinforces my gut feelings - a bit psychic really!

Info:
Elixir Petroleum Ltd (ASX code: EXR, AIM: ELP) (Elixir or the Company) is delighted to announce that its farminee partner, DNO UK Ltd (DNO), has secured a drilling rig for an exploration well on the joint ventures high impact Jaguar prospect in Northern North Sea Block 211/22b.
The Jaguar well will test a new stratigraphic play as yet untested in the UKCS Northern North Sea. The concept however has been commercially proven in nearby Norwegian waters.
The semi-submersible rig, Bredford Dolphin, has been contracted to drill Jaguar. It is currently drilling a well for Dana Petroleum in neighbouring Block 211/22a and on current commitments and estimated timing the spud date on Jaguar is estimated to be around mid January 2006.
The Jaguar well is expected to take 45 days and reach a total depth of approximately 3,950 metres.
DNO holds the remaining 60% interest in Block 211/22b and will meet 92.5% of the Jaguar well costs under the terms of farmin agreement signed with Elixir in June 2005. The farmin represents a return to the UKCS by DNO, which is an active explorer and owns producing assets in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
The Company believes that very few other junior oil and gas explorers, if any, will be participating in such a high potential exploration well as Jaguar over the next few months.
Russell Langusch, Elixirs Managing Director, said, Following so close behind our Muness earn-in announcement in late October, this is great news. Our strategy of participating in a number of potential company-making North Sea exploration wells is gaining momentum with Muness planned to be spudded later this month and Jaguar now in mid January 2006.

ADDITIONAL RESULTS FROM SONGPANGUO
FURTHER ZONES IDENTIFIED
LONDON - 11 January 2006 - Central China Goldfields plc (AIM: GGG,
GGGW) reports additional results from recently completed aditing (tunnelling)
and trenching programme at the Songpanguo deposit ('SPG'), Baima area, in the
Snow Mountain Project, Sichuan Province of China.
Highlights:
- Assay results are reported from three underground tunnels and
eleven trenches are reported
- Results are generally higher grade compared to the work
previously reported by Sichuan Bureau of Metallurgy and Geological Exploration
('SBMGE')
- Two new zones discovered in underground tunnels including a zone
of 3 metres @ 14.54 g/t Au
- Other underground tunnelling results include: 3.0 metres @ 5.45
g/t Au, 12.0 metres @ 4.15 g/t Au and 2 metres @ 4.52 g/t Au
- Trenching results include: 1 metre @ 8.4 g/t Au and 2 metres @
2.7 g/t Au
Jeff Malaihollo, Central China Goldfields' Managing Director,
stated 'These results are very encouraging and we plan to drill and open up
more tunnels to test the down-dip continuation of the mineralisation to
increase the tonnage. We are very excited by the positive results that
continue to emerge from SPG especially now with several new zones identified.'
Geological Details:
Further Fire assay results from SPG trenches and underground
tunnels (adits) confirm comparable intersected widths and gold grades to the
original wet assay work by our partners SBMGE.
The underground tunnels provide more information and are
significantly cheaper compared to drilling. In particular, important
information regarding the structure controlling mineralisation was obtained
from these tunnels.
SPG Adits
Re-sampling of tunnel PD403 on the 3,190 metres level confirmed two
main zones of mineralisation which are: 3.0 metres @ 5.45 g/t gold and 12.0
metres @ 4.15 g/t gold. These are higher than the original wet assays of 4.2
metres @ 3.29 g/t gold and 7.44 metres @ 2.92 g/t gold.
Tunnel PD416 on the 3,240 metres level intersected a low grade zone
at 132 metres from the mouth of the tunnel, yielding results of 4 metres @
0.45 g/t gold. This compares with the original result of 0.8 metres @ 1.27 g/t
gold.
Two new zones were intersected in a crosscut CM1W driven in a
northwest direction from tunnel PD401 (whose results were announced on 12
December 2005). The first zone is 3 metres @ 14.54 g/t gold including a 1
metre interval @ 40.7 g/t gold. The zone is hosted by brecciated siltstone
with pyrite, realgar and orpiment. The second zone is 2 metres @ 4.52 g/t
gold, intersected at 5.5 metres from the main tunnel PD401.
SPG TRENCHES
Full set of results for the trenches are tabulated below. Direct
comparison often can not be made as the old trenches have been washed away or
their locations can not be accurately situated.
Trench TC 19R returned 1 metre @ 8.14 g/t gold at the start of the
trench, but no direct comparison is available.
Trench TC 94-2R, gave two 1 metre long intersections of 1.06 g/t
gold and 1.07 g/t gold. There is no comparable trench available.
Trench TC 30R yielded 1 metre @ 2.2 g/t gold which is higher grade
compared to the wet assay result of 1 metre @ 0.9 g/t gold. TC 30R also
returned another intersection of 1 metre @1.94 gold which is also higher grade
compared with original assay of 1.5 metres @ 0.6g/t gold.
On the northern side of the Snow Mountain Fault, the SPG deposit
continues on the opposite side of the valley, where Trench TC 16 intersected a
zone of 2 metres @ 2.7 g/t gold which is higher grade compared with original
assays of 2.1 metres @ 1.79 g/t gold.

I have acquired 2 million Ser shares lately when the mm's tried to
overshake the stock.
Suehelen might ramp every stock he holds in sight but this company
is actually worth a punt, problem is the spread and the games by the
mm's, one minute L2 looks great and set for a good rise then they pull
the rug away from your feet and you get hung, well that's if you are
attempting to trade this stock, you dont want to be trading it, if you
fancy a flutter then either buy it or maybe wait for some weakness then
snap some up, i dont think there's going to be many chances of buying
at 0.3-0.35p left, it's a buy and then a hold.
