THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Basically Parliament doesn't trust Cameron and rightly so.

It doesn't trust his judgement.

The Tory party doesn't trust its own "leader" and rightly so.

The majority of the country doesn't trust the tories and its leadership.

Camoron should go, he was and is a poser.

Go now.

let the muslim countries sort out the problems not Christian countries
they will only stab us in the back .if you asked the muslims to vote on the issue they would say keep out

Fred1new - 30 Aug 2013 08:41 - 28379 of 81564

BUT.

"Daniel Finkelstein writes…

“Syria is the Iraq of the non-interventionists. We did nothing and the situation got worse. And the worse the situation got, the more we used it as an excuse to do nothing. Thus we are told that the opposition is now controlled by Islamic fundamentalists, while the liberal dissidents are nowhere. But this is hardly surprising when every force in Syria is being provided with support and weapons — except for the liberal dissidents. In Iraq we invaded to find no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction; in Syria we did nothing and it turns out they did have stockpiles of chemical weapons and they used them.”

TANKER - 30 Aug 2013 08:53 - 28384 of 81564

why are CAMERON AND BARMY SUPPORTING TERRORISTS WHAT IS BEHIND THIS ACTION

Fred1new - 30 Aug 2013 09:06 - 28385 of 81564

Perhaps, the Arab League is more reflective especially as it is closer to their homes.

There seems a general way to change what is happening in Syria and REGIME CHANGE.

(It is bloody stupid not to accept this and hypocrisy or lying to say that this is not the ultimate aim.)

The problem is how to do it, avoiding the probability of increasing the death toll and destruction of infrastructure and the cost of supporting a destroyed "social" structure and avoiding replacement of government with what we think "worse".

Also, if we "invade" Syria (sending in missiles is and invasion) we have to accept responsibility for the peace and that means "feet" or more "feet" on the "ground".

This is why it is necessary to try and develop an "international armed police force" under the jurisdiction of the United Nation in one way or another to intervene effectively in future areas.

HOW????????

Paddy Pantsdown on Sky News this morning looked like he was about to burst into tears and talking drivel - along the lines of what was the point now in having a military force in this country.

Agreed, but you can move nearer to it.

As a little boy I can remember many saying that Everest will never be climbed.

Then along came Hillary.
