Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

BT,

I can't say that I lost connection here and all is working correctly, but I will pass this comment onto JT to go with your other reports.

Thanks

Ian

Something odd at log in this morning. After entering log on details I had endless clicking/cycling with eventually a return to the log on screen - but I'm also logged on!

kernow,

There are no problems at this end - could be a cookie issue at your end - can you check to see if you have session cookies enabled please?

Click on tools - Click on internet options - Click on Privacy and then advanced - you will be able to see here is session cookies are enabled.

I'm on automatic cookie handling Ian. Do I need to use the manual option which has the session cookie option?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Dec 2004 07:52 - 2853 of 7315

YOu should have the 'Always allow session cookies' option ticked - then log our and back in and let me know if this cures the problem,

Thanks

Ian

OK I'll try this later and let you know if I still have problems. Thanks.

Just a little hiccup that happens occasionally on stockwatch.

I added Armour Group, epic AMR to stockwatch and got a news flag beside it. Turns out to be related to American airline stocks (Wall Street airlines - Airlines close lower after downgrades - UPDATE 1) and in no way connected with Armour Group. This has happened to anumber of my stocks.

Could it be that the .L for London listings is not present on these stocks and so any news related to a stock with that epic from any of the markets covered by MAM will flag inappropriately on the unconnected same epic stock?

Bit of a pain if you're on dial-up as I am at work and have to wait for it all to load before realising it's unconnected.

Seymour,

This will be directly from our suppliers feed so I will pass the details onto them to take a look.

Terminal
I have a Terminal with a FTSE100 stockwatch linked in a Group to a L2,Trades,Streaming Chart,Static Chart, and News set of panes.

If I click on the Epic of one of the stocks in the Stockwatch list how long should it take to reload all the associated Panes with the new epic?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Dec 2004 09:05 - 2858 of 7315

BT,

This should be pretty much within 3 - 4 seconds - however, it does depend on how many you have as it has to reload 3 or 4 streaming functions for you.

Ian

BrianTrayda - 08 Dec 2004 09:19 - 2859 of 7315

Hmmmmm - how about 30 secs?

Could you try to find out from somebody how I can discover where the time is going?

And before you say it Ian - there's nowt wrong with anything on the PC. :-)

It's just that in the early days of Terminal I remember it being really snappy - as in click on an epic and everything changed in a second.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Dec 2004 09:30 - 2860 of 7315

BT,

I have just run a test and all was fine - can you try again for me and let me know what happens?

BrianTrayda - 08 Dec 2004 09:49 - 2861 of 7315

Believe it or not I've now got the old problem of Terminal losing connections, requesting multiple logons and getting it's knickers in a twist again.

A seperate standard IE window with a basic stockwatch running kept ticking away without even a blink...

So it's not me !!!

BT,

I have just run a test with 6 streaming windows linked and they all came up within about 6 -7 seconds - I will speak to the boys to find out if they can suggest anything.
