OK temporary accomodation for us ex-pats of Spacie's coffee house that is sadly now boarded up and in memory of Goldie's old pad the tearooms.
No fancy stuff, as this is temporary until we find a nice new place but it's warm down here with the fire and aga and I've organised a daily guinness, lager and wine delivery. There is a small kitchen in the corner and a few comfy cosy armchairs.
So feel free to take refuge when you need a break - self-service generally I'm afraid but when I can I'll rustle up a meal :>)

Ooer, it's a bit eerie in here at this time of day.... (night ???). but then again I have to tip my hat to Stockbunny, lively during the day.....and yet a haven of peace in the wee small hours, how very thorough and considerate :-)))
That said I have a very small complaint....call it an idiosyncracy if you will, but when I need tea NOTHING must get in the way !!!
In view of this I have taken the liberty of installing a new machine in the kitchen, it has the facility to produce water hot enough for tea, espresso and cappuccino in 30 secs, hope you will enjoy!!!
ps this new unit uses fuel-cell technology so is really green, which means you can enjoy a range of drinks without the normal guilt....huh :-))
Next stage will be the chiller, but while the knowledge exists to power the item, the necessary coolant production is still dirty.....but give it 6 months
Regards
SC

Shouldn't be in Athens if he doesn't like it. :o) Bunny's is better, even if it is rattling. Oooooo! look, a shiny new machine in the kitchen. Let's have a go.......hmmmm, looks like the right button to press. Woosh! Woah! that's a lot of steam! This hasn't been used for a while! Bunny would know what to do. I hope she's ok.

unfortunaletly I am stuck in Athens for another 7 days, its a terrible place and I hate the work I am doing here especially after a crap day like today where everyting that could possibly go wrong did. The place is in such a mess at the moment with strikes and unrest and last night a bomb that killed someone in one of the givernement offices.
But it does help pay the bills .........

Athens is the place where they do very little work,
but rip off non greeks (and greeks) even if you
speak and read some greek.
Lived there for awhile.OK if you stay away
from the tourist areas.
Which doesn't leave you much elbow room.
Apart from the commercial side, nice place
and nice people.

Blimey the night shift has been in....
Much as I hate Athens i definitely don't hate Greeks, the ones I have worked and met with there over the last 7 years have been unfailingly professional hard working and very capable and really nice people.
The company I work for have now completed the sale of that business so I wont be seeing them again and I will miss them.
Its just the city that I cant stand ! its an odd mixture os modern european and third world, its also hot and dusty and a bit chaotic.
