How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

There were rumours on the Betfair forum before the game that Agassi was not fit enough to play. Often laying the heavy favourite in Tennis appears to be a worthwhile tactic but I guess it helps if you really know the form.

Steve,
Good. Of the three I've looked at, all have turned it around. Might be worth me doing some real research so I can get % likelihood of it occuring etc.
Trouble is I'm not sure who was and wasn't a seed. A lot of digging required I think.

managed to catch Lutin Du Moulin - saying that the layers got their fingers bitten as it won (having been as large as about 6.4 in running)

Just drifted over to US horse racing. Volume is creeping up but still pretty small fry. About 30k traded on the 22:00.

Harlosh,
To save you digging around the website for the French open is
http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/index.html
This will take you directly to the live scoreboard but you'll also be able to access the seedings, draw etc.
I'll dig out other useful links later.
I'm currently on Nalbandian game

More volume on the Williams game Bakko, 1.8m so far when I was there a few moments ago.

Expecting a drab game this evening for the CL final. I can't see Liverpool coming out firing on all cylinders and Milan will know they have to penetrate an 11 man defence so I think they will play posession football and look for a way through.

i think the volume on the tennis is predominantly driven by which game Eurosport decide to televise - the williams game was on live

Currently on the Henman game and ddds having been all over the place. Certainly not for the faint hearted.
I took some at 1.9 on Henman and will see how the game pans out. Horna, being S.American probably grew up on clay and seems quite an useful player.
Henman is predicted to win this but as usual will take you on a roller coaster ride!

BTW, Clijsters is carrying an injury and has defied Dr's orders to pull out of the Open. She is playing later this afternoon and odds are 1.03/1.04. This could be worth a lay at these low odds as there's always the possibility of going lame!

Lay Henman to win Wimbledon has been bet of century. Especially in the UK as it often offered at remarkably low odds.
Clijster looks interesting. You could hedge by back her to win the tournament.

Dil,
I think the last one he won was about 4 or 5 years ago somewhere in Azerbijan. I remember seeing him wear the national costume which was a sight and a half!

I see Ancic (Seeded 18)lost the first set this morning and drifted to 1.9 ish. Now looks like winning. Down to 1.06. Been out all morning otherwise would have had some of that.
Did anyone else?

Harlosh,
Another site I totally rely on is
http://www.atptennis.com/en/
It has all the stats you'll ever need for men's tennis. An absolute goldmine of information
