It's not compulsory to read this thread Plateman and it can be highly amusing at times, especially when the markets are incredibly boring ! There are some excellent threads on individual shares here. Why don't you start your own thread on this website and encourage other posters to exchange views with you?

Not sure how Syria will hit back at France. They don't have missiles anywhere that long range.

NATO has now come out and said the chemical attack is by Syria

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - NATO's secretary-general said on Monday he had seen evidence convincing him Syrian authorities were behind a deadly chemical weapons attack and said it would send a "dangerous signal to dictators" if the world did not respond firmly.

"I have been presented with concrete information and, without going into details, I can tell you that personally I am convinced, not only that a chemical attack has taken place ..., but I am also convinced that the Syrian regime is responsible," Rasmussen told a news conference.

Rasmussen said there was "agreement that we need a firm international response in order to avoid that chemical attacks take place in the future. It would send, I would say, a dangerous signal to dictators all over the world if we stand idly by and don't react."

Trying to be sensible, I think the proposal that was presented to the HP should have been modified, but the decisions after further review returned for further consideration.

I understand the difficulties in the "present time" with "change of Syrian regime" but that is what it is about and should be stated bluntly and I think done.
