Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Dirty Dealing on Syria in Washington
Posted on September 6, 2013 by Martin Armstrong
The only key Arab nations supporting Obama are Saudi Arabia and Qatar and that is all about the pipeline blocked by Syria. There are even rumors that the Cyprus event was used to cripple Russians and cut-off their eventual access to a huge gas field there yet to be brought into production. If the Russians gained control of that, then they would really have a stranglehold on Europe.
Credible sources keep pointing to a massive cover-up surrounding Syria – Benghazi Connection. The United States has literally trashed the region with its crazy foreign policy run by people who are truly clueless about the region and the religious conflicts. They messed up Iraq, Egypt, Afghanistan and now Libya is in chaos yet the press will not report that in the USA. The British Independent wrote:

Don't take any notice of that Armstrong character, he is a crook. I mean a real crook with 11 years in prison for fraud and contempt. He started as a juvenile offender that bullied the local kids and had to be sent to a military boarding school. He constantly makes outrageous claims usually against the government.

There was a G20 declaration for a strong response to Syria. The countries singing that declaration are Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, Britain and the United States.
This morning Germany has said it will sign the declaration due to new evidence it has seen showing Syria responsible for the chemical attacks.

that's still an awful lot of countries that won't support action .... whether that is on moral grounds rather than for other less savoury reasons, is a matter of speculation

Interesting article written by EX-intelligence people with no access to the current facts. They seem to have their own agenda in stopping any action.

NOTE.....
"We regret to inform you that some of our former co-workers are telling us, categorically, that contrary to the claims of your administration, the most reliable intelligence shows that Bashar al-Assad was NOT responsible for the chemical incident that killed and injured Syrian civilians on August 21, and that British intelligence officials also know this. In writing this brief report, we choose to assume that you have not been fully informed because your advisers decided to afford you the opportunity for what is commonly known as “plausible denial.”

Amazing.....
Microsoft buys Betamax
Microsoft has bought Betamax, hoping to steal a march on more successful rivals such as Apple and Samsung. Having dismissed the internet as ‘a passing fad’, and countered the threat of tablet computers by putting wheels on a PC, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO, is keen to get the company back on track.
‘Betamax is a perfect match for the company’s aspirations, as we move towards the end of the 20th century’, Ballmer gushed at yesterday’s press reception. ‘Everybody’s into ‘retro’ these days. Hell, Betamax was good enough for us, when we were kids, and it’ll be good enough for the kids of today.’
When asked whether Microsoft was a backward looking company, out of touch with current trends, whose great days were in the distant past, Ballmer went into his now familiar ‘dad dance’. ‘Eat your heart out, Steve Jobs’, he yelled. ‘We’re back, baby, we’re back!’

There is no "creditable evidence" that the Chemical atrocity came officially from the Asad side.

Trying to think of a sensible method of dealing with Syria.
The only solution I came up with was to :
send in a "hit squad to kill Assad and as many of his henchmen as possible and as soon as possible".
For the "Hit Squad" to be led by Cameron, with Hays as his intelligence officer and AlDs, Aldwick, Tanker and the Nightmare as physical support.
We would have to send Manuel as cook and bandage man and the Hills as backup in order to use her skill.
Of course at my age, even if I volunteered to go with them, I would be refused permission.

Perhaps, this exposes my feelings feebleness.
