Bernard M - 21 Sep 2011 13:10 - 2899 of 5370

TANKER - 21 Sep 2011 13:53 - 2901 of 5370

off subject why do the rich greeks hate there own people and country .
which without greece they would of been nothing if the top 50 gave 5 percent ofthere wealth greece would be in better shape . they musy really hate there brothers and sisters

Bernard M - 21 Sep 2011 14:00 - 2902 of 5370

Whatever is decided about cuts the Greek people won't have any of it and will bring the government down. Let the Greeks default and kick them out of the EU. Don't give the spunging gits any more money.

TANKER - 21 Sep 2011 14:10 - 2903 of 5370

b/m why are geece not doing what the uk is doing with off shore accounts not paying taxes to the uk .now they are

Bernard M - 21 Sep 2011 14:23 - 2904 of 5370

A lot of Greek's evade paying tax and not just the rich ones. They have left it too late to save themselves.

Bernard M - 22 Sep 2011 09:07 - 2905 of 5370

I hope halifax is OK

skinny - 22 Sep 2011 09:10 - 2906 of 5370

The irony is that LLOY has out performed the FTSE over the last month.

HARRYCAT - 22 Sep 2011 09:11 - 2907 of 5370

It would be more helpful if you could tell us if it will continue to do so over the next month! (please).

Bernard M - 22 Sep 2011 09:17 - 2908 of 5370

A lot more downside too come, there will be some up days but shorting for the rest of this year is my plan. As said before I have made more this year shorting than the last five years investing.

TANKER - 22 Sep 2011 12:18 - 2909 of 5370

massive gas find near blackpool lancashire enough to last the uk decades

skinny - 22 Sep 2011 12:23 - 2910 of 5370

That's the trouble with Lancastrians :-)

optomistic - 22 Sep 2011 12:23 - 2911 of 5370

That's good news TANKER now we'll be able to afford to get involved in fighting more wars around the world!

ExecLine - 22 Sep 2011 12:54 - 2912 of 5370

Lots of positives with the gas find (eg, will last the whole of the UK for over 50 years, 5,000 jobs could be created) but, because the gas is trapped in shale, there are lots of big negatives with it too.

The process of extracting the gas - known as fracking - involves using high pressure water to fracture the shale beds deep underground, releasing the gas trapped within them. Alleged side effects include contaminated drinking water and even gas jets erupting from your bath taps.

But it could just turn the whole of Lancashire into a kind of Dallas.

skinny - 22 Sep 2011 12:56 - 2913 of 5370

Wasn't their 1st attempt at fracking linked to a minor earthquake?

TANKER - 22 Sep 2011 13:17 - 2914 of 5370

it is the traffic that they dont want the rest is ok .
it wil go ahead and good for the area and the uk

Bernard M - 22 Sep 2011 14:41 - 2915 of 5370

Maybe they will clean up their beach & sea from brown, to blue. You would then be able to swim with your mouth open without fear of copping a turd.

TANKER - 22 Sep 2011 14:45 - 2916 of 5370

b/m yes blackpool is a dirty filthy place

Bernard M - 22 Sep 2011 14:46 - 2917 of 5370
