an expert has told me that Resilience's stuff is better than Cisco's. Plus cost in recessionary times can be critical for a large Company or Health Authority. Tendering will look at quality, but also cost. Outsourcing to Nexus/Resilience with remote monitoring, communications facilities, and data backup to Brunswick, Maine, and saving money into the bargain on what had previously been in-house IT support, could be a deal hard to resist on logical grounds. A large multi-national company recently has reported saving over 70% in their phonebills.

I take you point about data protection with regard to government agencies' information, especially personal sensitive data like health, sexual life, and religious affliation, which required express written permission of the client for it to be stored with some exception like lawyers and doctors where there is a privilege or dispensation from the general law.
However, I would not rule out completely the possibility of Nexus (with or without Resilience's products) winning new business. There is more than simply software and hardware to a bid. Current client base and their recommendations could sway things in Nexus's favour, particularly if the current provider of ITC support is not giving good service or is much more expensive than Nexus. Cost cutting in the current economic climate, even with Government agencies given all the current debt mountain to get rid of, must high on the agenda in every board room.
Don't underestimate Nexus.... Watch this space.

GECR NOTE 3.75P Nexus Management to launch Nerd Force franchise in UK
company news image
Nexus Management PLC (AIM: NXS) said it entered into a partnership with Les Dyson of First for Franchising to launch its mobile computer and technology support unit Nerd Force in the UK.
Dyson has more than 20 years' experience launching new franchises in and with his help the company is confident of Nerd Force's successful entry into the UK market, it said in a statement.
Les Dyson commented: I firmly believe that we will establish a considerable presence throughout the UK during the next year, having already created a credible foundation stone during the balance of 2009.
Updating on Resilience Technology Corp, which it acquired in March 2009, Nexus said the business has made substantial progress.
Nexus CEO Roger Richardson said: Much has been achieved in a few short months by the Resilience team. I am pleased to be able to confirm sales of the Resilience products continue in line with the board's expectations and will play an important role in the company's performance this fiscal year.
Following the news, Growth Equities & Company Research reiterated its 'buy' recommendation for Nexus Management with a price target of 3.75p, more than 3 times its current share price.
The launch of Nerd Force in the UK with such a safe pair of hands will not only reassure investors that this is a globally scaleable model but should have a bottom line impact from next year (to September 30 2010) onwards. The news on trading at Resilience is most encouraging and underpins our earnings forecasts," GE & CR added.

On 25th August Nexus announced that it had completed a 0.4 million placing and provided a trading update that offers real comfort that our current year expectations remain deliverable. We have reduced our target price from 3.75p to 3.21p to reflect the increased number of shares in issue but, at 0.92p, reiterate our stance of buy.
Nexus successfully placed 40 million new shares at 1p each raising 380,000 net of expenses and granted accompanying options over a further 20 million shares, exercisable at 1p per share at any time before 25th February 2011. The proceeds are for general working capital requirements and the repayment of outstanding Resilience acquisition loan notes.
In terms of trading, the update for the 9 months to 30th June suggests that our expectations for the current year will be met as Nexus anticipates Resilience and Nerd Force closing a number of contracts in the next few weeks. However, the evolving shape of the Nexus, especially following the Resilience acquisition, has made the companys revenue streams somewhat less predictable than has previously been the case.
Nexus core business has continued to cope with reduced spending from its existing customers by managing its operating costs and although it is still early days, Resilience continues to make steady progress though the timing of large contracts completions and new product introductions influences financial performance. Nerd Force has sold in excess 180 franchise territories, of which 27 are currently active; a slower conversion rate that originally anticipated due to the severity of the US recession. Nevertheless, it remains one of the fastest growing franchises. PD Financial, the e-tailer associate, remains somewhat subdued because of the recession but the business is making headway with its refinancing, which, if successful, will result in a repayment of indebtedness to Nexus.
We continue to value Nexus on a sum of the parts basis. The monies owed to Nexus by PD Financial and the balance sheet valuation of the shares owned in PD Financial are worth 4.057 million or 0.41p per share and we remain convinced that once the US economy recovers this business will show its true potential. We value the core earnings stream on 10 times September 2011 forecast earnings, which we do not believe to be overly demanding for a company expected to increase earnings almost 6-fold over the next two years. We continue to recommend the shares as a buy at 0.92p with a revised 2011 target price of 3.21p.

RUMOURED utility contract annnouncement 2morrow at t1ps one 2 one RESILIENCE LAUNCHES NEW SECURITY PRODUCT
11 August 2009
NEW LOW COST HIGH SECURITY PRODUCT LAUNCH FOR RESILIENCE
Nexus Management's wholly owned subsidiary, Resilience Technology Corp
("Resilience"), is pleased to announce the launch of its new security product, the '9100 Small Appliance for High Security Requirements'. This appliance allows organisations to ensure high levels of security, compliant with corporate standards, but at a much lower cost compared to products and solutions currently available in the market.
Companies, including banks, power utilities and retailers have increasingly
higher critical security needs at the end points of their networks. To date, the costs of extending corporate level security standards across a Customer's network have been significant and in many cases prohibitive. Examples of such end points include ATM's (Automated Teller Machines), which, to achieve the required levels of security, currently have to use expensive lease lines, and retail outlets who typically require lower cost solutions. These customers have helped Resilience define the latest extension of our security appliance family, the 9100 Small Appliance for High Security Requirements.
Now customers can choose to run a full firewall license, Websense v7 content filtering, or other Linux-based security applications, in a small low cost unit, providing high levels of performance and guaranteed uptime. The 9100 allows customers, many of whom are undertaking cost saving initiatives, to extend their standard corporate security products and policies to the remote areas of their networks.
Sean Scott, CEO of Resilience, commented: "With the release of the 9100 Small Security Appliance customers can extend their standard corporate security platform anywhere on the planet in a plug and play secure platform. Our standards based approach to purpose built, security appliances helps service providers by delivering feature rich, cutting edge solutions, faster and at lower costs than the competition."
Roger Richardson, CEO of Nexus Management, commented: "'The 9100 Small Appliance for High Security Requirements' is an expansion of the portfolio of performance solutions offered by Resilience. Our product range is designed for network environments where availability is essential and security must not be compromised - reliability and security are synonymous with the brand name and highly valued by our customers."
FASTER AND AT LOWER COST THAN THE COMPETITION

rumoured contract that uk analyst is talking about here is the product which nexus management 100% own.utility contract coming Resilience Announces The 9100
The Small Security Appliance for High Security
Cambridge, MA August 8, 2009
Banks, Power Utilities, MSSP's, & Retailers all have critical security requirements and end points that are underserved by partial UTM solutions and router based security. To date it has been very expensive to extend the full version of the corporate security standards across the enterprise. Without real security, ATM machines continue to use expensive lease lines, power sub stations rely on DC powered products and the MSSP's & Retailers require lower cost solutions that meet corporate standards. These customer driven requirements have helped Resilience develop the latest extension of our security appliance family, the 9100 Small Security Appliance for High Security needs.
"With the release of the 9100 Small Security Appliance" reports Sean Scott, Resilience CEO "customers literally get a 'far out' solution by extending their standard corporate security platform anywhere on the planet in a plug and play secure platform."
Now customers can choose to run a full firewall license, Websense v7 content filtering, or other Linux based security applications on a small box, giving them affordability, performance, rock solid uptime, and the low operational expense they expect from Resilience. Customers with serious operational expense reduction initiatives can now extend their standard corporate security products and policies to the remote areas of their networks with the 9100. Customers still benefit from the low touch Resilience RES/OS operating system and Integrated High Availabilitytm or they can run on a partner provided OS.
The 9100 Security Appliances are available for immediate delivery in AC power configurations and the DC power options will ship in November. The single and duel core options support all of our partner products while meeting a range of throughput requirements from 300mb for VPNs and firewall speeds of up to 2Gb. Websense v7 Web Security is always bundled with RES/OS and supports up to 2500 users.
MSSP's are adopting a strategy where they deploy a single vendors open architecture security platform in order to drive down multi vendor inventories and the Total Cost of Ownership associated with supporting complex environments. The Resilience standards based approach to purpose built, security appliances helps service providers by delivering feature rich, cutting edge solutions, faster and at lower costs than the competition.
