New poll shows ordinary workers want Labour leader to go further

A YouGov survey for the Labour Uncut blog also suggests that Mr Miliband can reap an electoral benefit if he sticks to his guns and forces through his changes. Some 16 per cent of the public say his reforms make them more likely to vote Labour at the next election, with only 4 per cent saying they are less likely to support the party.

I have just had a call from the police. Our car was stolen a couple of months ago. The driver was drunk and involved in a high speed car chase in London in the middle of the night. Luckily, there was minor damage to the car. He went to court today and received 17 months in prison and was disqualified for four years. He got a harsh penalty as he was already disqualified.

OSBOURNE on BBC news channel NOW telling us why he was right about austerity and his planning.

Excellent speech by Osborne. History is showing that his policy has been right all along. It will be interesting to what sort of pathetic response Ed Balls can manage.

It is a nightmare scenario for Labour. An improving economy, falling unemployment and an election looming.

findus - you were bound to say that, but like it or not, the economy is most certainly on an upswing and why should not Osbourne take the credit that it was due to "his" austerity measures ...... for sure, you would have been very happy indeed to make hay had things worked the other way

H/S, Did the police say how he gained entry into your Car? (assuming it is quite a modern model) which I have heard are harder to steel.

Of course we could have had Ed Balls Plan B where we would have increased borrowing and indulged in Labour's usual spend, spend, spend.

Stan, he broke the window. It wasn't a newish car. My father in law died at Xmas and we inherited his car, which had been immaculately looked after. Due to sentimental reasons, we have to keep it running (I won't comment further on that subject).

H/S, Yes I quite understand, I had my car stolen years ago and the police said that the bloke had made a copy from the door lock which was the same key as the ignition lock (would you believe) and just opened the door started up and was off!

Ever since then I have used a steering wheel lock even on our (also inherited modern car). Live and learn as they say.
