yep dav know where u coming from.not sure if u use cmc,but ive no real probs with them they where a pure fx co to start with and its been them who have driven the spreaddown to our advantage,if it wernt for them all the others wud prob quote 10 itcs on all the majors....

mostrader - 21 Jan 2005 11:52 - 2908 of 11056

chf breaking up got out to early

one thing to watch is the hedge funds, about 3/3.30 each fri there black box sytems get to work and normally they will trade in the way the market has been trending the previous few days..it does happen...just be aware of it...

Maggot - 21 Jan 2005 11:55 - 2909 of 11056

Stopped out of Cable short at 57. I'm not very good at this.

davspeed - 21 Jan 2005 11:56 - 2910 of 11056

I only use cmc as apart from long term investment I only spread bet for my short term trading. As I work full time I think I already pay enough tax so when I make money spread betting it feels good to know that the profit is tax free.

Maggot - 21 Jan 2005 11:57 - 2911 of 11056

Excuse me... what is this thing p-r-o-f-i-t?

davspeed - 21 Jan 2005 12:04 - 2912 of 11056

Another reason I gave up stocks is that I work shifts and that makes it hard to keep track of positions, some times I go to work and its quiet and I can look at the screen but mostly Im very busy so I can't monitor prices so it is easier to concentrate on one or two fx rates do trades at home and leave oco orders to close. I have found that if I concentrate on a very few trading instruments it may be a little boring but I make money which is what were here for.

davspeed - 21 Jan 2005 12:06 - 2913 of 11056

Maggot, after 4 years trading I have only recently discovered it hope to stay aquainted from here on

HelenW - 21 Jan 2005 12:13 - 2914 of 11056

Maggot, don't ask me. Hope to become aquainted with the concept soon :0)

mostrader - 21 Jan 2005 12:39 - 2915 of 11056

sure dave, yep suits better..fx is 24 hours, got mates who trade out of nz/aust
ideal world market as you can trade it from anywhere.. no gaps or bad news out bfore bell and getting marked down 20 %..can see the angle....
