The NICE website advises that a Review of Existing Guidance, No 51, will be published in February 2006; no other detail that I can find.

I've noticed this too. 2 MM trades and a flurry of activity - has some kind of news leaked? Any one know anything?

A very unusual day of trading: a buy of @210k and a late sell of @70k. The former suggested positive news of some sort - perhaps something related to the States (the NY trial?). It's been very quiet on this thread recently. Has anyone else been following this?

nicksig - you need to learn about something called a "rollover" and how to identify one when it happens. For example the "2x5m buys" was actually a rollover when somebody sold 5m shares then bought them back immediately afterwards for slightly more (or vice versa if the trader was short). Because this is a "special deal" done with the market makers the normal spread does not apply so both trades may be identified as buys or both as sells.
A rollover does NOT mean something is afoot. It means an individual trader is expecting the share price to move in a matter of weeks.

Thanks for this. I'll look further into it. Is it possible judge from this which way that trader thinks the price will move?

Hi again. I have found the following definition of a rollover:
to transfer a trade that is near its expiry date to the next expiry date. Rolling over is a facility offered by a spreadbetting firm to those clients whose financial positions are due to expire within a short time and want to roll them into the next contract month. Normally clients can roll positions from the expiring contract to the next contract month for a reduced spread.
Is there more to it than this? So in this case the trader would sell for .0209 and buy again for .021 to rollover to the next expiry date? If so, this is surely a sign of confidence. Originally I had assumed this was institutional money as it seemed a lot to play with in a company as small as ULT.

That is basically correct. You can also rollover an extended settlement trade if your broker will permit this. But a rollover can also be made on a short position so it isn't necessarily a sign of confidence. And an even greater sign of confidence it to actually buy the shares!!!

j this is old news from a few years back market already knew what is holding is these were not brought recently ,hence why the was no rise in s/price if he had brought these in the market the s/p would have been a lot stronger.
