Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Chaps,
I've obviously screwed up somewhere, I have 2 watchlists which I cannot delete,
(50M+ & TEST50+)
Firstly, can you remove them for me, secondly, from the curiosity aspect, and to avoid the problem again, is it the "+" element in the name that has caused this glitch??

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Jan 2005 12:07 - 2936 of 7315

SC,

I will get JT to take them out - I have spoken to JT and he says that the + is unlikely to have caused this, but we will get them removed and i will let you know.

Ian T
Thank you, it was just a guess about the plus sign, empirically based as they are the only ones where I have used that in the name, and the only ones I haven't been able to remove.

Regards

SC,

JT has now removed the watchlists you wanted taken out.

Whenever I try to download any of the Shares mag articles on PDF, it appears to be downloading, but as the download is completing a message appears and says 'File does not exist' and does not let me download. I am a subscriber, and this problem has only recently arisen. I don't have any problems with any other PDF / Acrobat files.

Can anyone help please ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Jan 2005 13:10 - 2943 of 7315

WirralOwl,

to help me diagnose, can you tell me whether you are opening it on download or saving it at this point?

Ian

WirralOwl - 06 Jan 2005 13:12 - 2944 of 7315

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm trying to open it on download.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Jan 2005 13:17 - 2945 of 7315

WirralOwl,

I have spoke to Jonathan and we are not sure what is causing this - can you try to save the download when given the option to see if this give s adifferent outcome?

Ian

WirralOwl - 06 Jan 2005 13:31 - 2946 of 7315

Thanks Ian, that worked fine.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Jan 2005 13:32 - 2947 of 7315

Wirral,

Glad you can now dowload it - not sure why it was causing a problem the other way around, but will have a think about it and let you know if I come up with anything.

Ian

WirralOwl - 06 Jan 2005 20:45 - 2948 of 7315

Its not a problem, Ian. As long as I can get a copy of it somehow, that's all I wanted.

Thanks for your help.

When I go onto a page anywhere I get a message "the operation timed out when trying to contact adserv2.moneyam.com"

It's a pain because I keep getting my browsing through MAM interrupted every time I refresh a page or click on a new page. Any ideas?
