Hi All, Tommorrows the BIG day for ENGLAND, the soon to be crowned
" Rugby World Champions" barring an accident from those Antippodean ex-cons.
I'm reckoning on something like 19-7. Having a big bash in a nearby manor house.

Went to see 'Calendar Girls' tonight [just arrived!!] with our friends from the uk; thought it a good gentle laugh with just the right amount of sloppiness
to keep mrs.lw happy.

That hydraulic oil does give you a lift, especially if your name is Jack.

Jeff, wasn't it Dusseldorf that the Aue Wiedersein lot went to; just wondering if theres a remake on the way with you playing Moxy, the teaboy?

right I'll have a tangerine brandy and cream to take to my bedchamber.
G'night all....

dowie - 21 Nov 2003 22:56 - 2936 of 23498

This may be a dumb question guys, but as a newbie why can't i find any corus thread? especially considering what is happening at moment. The lastthread was ages ago.

cheers

snoball - 22 Nov 2003 00:53 - 2937 of 23498

dowie, why don't you post something on the old corus thread which will bring it to the top of the board. If anyone else is interested they will respond.

zarif, copy and paste this into your header:

Good morning campers, today we will have an egg and spoon race for the under 25's and a three legged mixed race for DYS investors. Bags I get Vasey as my partner.

Full English Breakfast anyone?

jeffmack - 22 Nov 2003 09:58 - 2939 of 23498

Socs
There is only one thing you should be doing this morning, watching England. Great first half.

Socrates - 22 Nov 2003 10:24 - 2940 of 23498

I'm looking out of my window and watching England. England is raining at present but I still have to go out in it.

Socrates - 22 Nov 2003 11:28 - 2941 of 23498

Champers all round for a good show.

stockbunny - 22 Nov 2003 13:58 - 2942 of 23498

Sorry to say Socs. that it is still raining and with a vengence - is
God an Aussie I ask myself!!
I've got soaked through already today with a trip to ever-exciting
Safeway for weekend odds and sods so I'll have a late lunch of
a glass of cab sauv' and a selection of cheeses with biscuits and a
few grapes as a side order if you don't mind barman...
I'm not into rugby but seems we did good!

Socrates - 22 Nov 2003 16:27 - 2943 of 23498

stockbunny
Do people still shop at Safeway? I suppose some do, I'm a confirmed M&S, Tesco, Waitrose person myself. I'm a good cook too, you know the style, remove sleeve and film, Microwave for 3 minutes etc.

You can't get the wood these days, it doesn't grow on trees you know!

vasey - 23 Nov 2003 12:48 - 2947 of 23498

I like the new look, GD. Still chucking the rain down which has curtailed the plans for this afternoon, so a glass of white burgundy, please, Mr Socks, while I read the Business Section.

Edit: GD, we all seem to be typing in green....!

Socrates - 23 Nov 2003 16:48 - 2948 of 23498

Well I'm typing in black, it's only coming on screen as green.

snoball - 23 Nov 2003 17:11 - 2949 of 23498

Hi Zarif!..if you are still in here somewhere ((peering through the
murky darkness, before switching on light..)) I'm after a hot cup of
tea, today has been Christmas shopping round the shops
present buying, purse is now glowing red due to excessive use
and I've had to find a headache pill or two and have a lie
down for a while - it's the shock of it all!! I love my 'baby
bunnies' dearly but its a good thing Christmas is once only per
year!!!

Socrates - 24 Nov 2003 17:55 - 2953 of 23498

Ahem. I love baby bunnies too, but I can't eat a whole one.
