if you want a flutter, which will include your heart, have a look at RIO

ptholden - 04 Aug 2009 09:54 - 2953 of 3050

Big swing is merely indicative of low volumes on the book. One SETs trade can move the Sp out of all proportion to the actual daily trend.

cynic - 19 Aug 2009 17:05 - 2954 of 3050

the chart is now starting to look interesting with pretty good support at 135/140 = not far from where we are now ...... may well be a bob or two to be made

Should benefit from rising crude also story in FT today re solars

ptholden - 19 Aug 2009 20:35 - 2956 of 3050

I closed out in the 170s, trendline support is now broken and wouldn't touch it with a bargepole at the moment. I'm only sorry I didn't take profits at 200p.

HARRYCAT - 20 Aug 2009 07:55 - 2957 of 3050

Business Financial Newswire
Renesola upgraded to buy from neutral at Goldman Sachs

HARRYCAT - 20 Aug 2009 08:03 - 2958 of 3050

"ReneSola Ltd today announced it has been granted the exclusive right in a letter of intent with the Taiyangshan Development Zone in Wuzhong city, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, to develop a 150 megawatt ("MW") on-grid solar power project with a budgeted total investment of RMB 4.8 billion (approximately US$ 706 million). The project, which is subject to a feasibility study and government permits and approvals, has a four-year, four-phase construction period that is expected to begin in 2010."

i got the bounce right, but was slow to react

dealerdear - 20 Aug 2009 08:39 - 2960 of 3050

been sitting in AMUR (up 130%) ; SOLA (up 22% resistance at 180p) and YELL.
Just sold all 3. It could be said I've had a good morning... for a change!

ptholden - 20 Aug 2009 22:12 - 2961 of 3050

Interestingly the news about the letter of intent had been in the public domain for a couple of days. I suppose the rise is more due to the broker upgrade.

maestro - 21 Aug 2009 06:42 - 2962 of 3050

required field - 21 Aug 2009 16:31 - 2969 of 3050

I have never ever bought this one...incredibly unpredictable....must have another look at this during the weekend.

cynic - 21 Aug 2009 16:41 - 2970 of 3050

it's a bit of a flake, but it's not too bad trading off the chart ..... PTH is much brighter than me on these things - i just use very basic MDAs and similar as indicators
