Snodgrass ex. Leeds, bit of a dirty barstewad if I remember rightly but can be effective in certain situations? You may have some competition from Pre-madonaship Burnley on this one though Dill -):

A few more bargain signings to be picked up here as well I suspect.
Reading FC chairman '£300m worse off compared to 2008'
May 16, 2014.
Sir John Madejski's finances have dropped significantly in the past six years, report
Reading FC chairman Sir John Madejski.
Reading FC chairman and businessman Sir John Madejski has reportedly lost more than £300million since 2008.
The 73-year-old’s fortune has dropped to approximately £100m, it was claimed on BBC South Today.
Madejski is effectively in charge of Reading FC in the absence of owner Anton Zingarevich.
The Russian holds a 51-per-cent stake in Royals, but has not attended a game since the beginning of September.
Madejski has, as a result, been left to pick up the pieces and once again find a new owner for Reading.
Supporters became increasingly concerned throughout the last campaign at the lack of investment in new players.
And their worries have been increased with the club’s failure to reach the Championship play-offs.
An instant return to the Premier League would have made the possibility of a new owner far more likely as Royals would have been a much more attractive proposition for an investor.
But as it is, the club must continue to cut costs to balance the books with a significant backer absent.
Five senior first-team members were released last week , including club captain Jobi McAnuff and Latvia skipper Kaspars Gorkss.
The club have also made commercial director Ben Wells redundant .
Royals let several of their academy players go this week, but have retained the services of the majority of the side who won the under-21 Premier League Cup, including Aaron Tshibola and Republic of Ireland under-19 international Sean Long.

Congratulations to the Gunners....(did not see all the game)...but at long last Ramsey scored...have to say that the passing was terrible most of the time, and the players lose the ball too many times in England !....they don't seem to turn their backs on the player tackling them and to fend of the challenge and pass it to another player...most of the time they end up giving away possession....anyway Wenger's lot were the better side...

Norwich City like to get things on the cheap, so reckon Malky was far too expensive, Dil. Neil Adams now signed for next three years.
Our biggest worry is trying to get our money back on RICKY VAN WOLFSWINKEL. He just hasn't performed and who would buy him? Flippin' hopeless!

Young Blues help England U17s to Euro glory in Malta
by Lyndon Lloyd | 21/05/2014 Comments (35) jump
Ledson and Kenny score crucial penalties
Everton youngsters Ryan Ledson and Jonjoe Kenny both scored penalties for England U17s in Malta this evening as the Young Lions beat The Netherlands 4-1 in a penalty shootout to win the European Championships.
Chelsea striker Dom Solanke put the Young Lions ahead against The Netherlands, the team who topped England's group in the first phase, after 25 minutes but Jari Schuurman levelled the game just before the break.
The two sides couldn't be separated in the second half which brought up automatic penalties after 80 minutes and it was captain Ledson who led the way for England by scoring the first penalty.
Newcastle's Freddie Woodman saved the Dutch youngsters' first spot kick, Taylor Moore and Callum Cooke then scored for England and Everton's Kenny banged home the decisive penalty to win the tournament for John Peacock's side.
It's the second time in four years that England have lifted the U17s Euro trophy; Ross Barkley and Luke Garbutt were in the Young Lions side that won the tournament in 2010.

1 Posted 21/05/2014 at 19:15:26 Tell you what this Kenny - don't worry I'm not doing a Brady/Brody/Garbutt on you - looks a cracking right back at this early stage of his development: pace, strong defensively, good crosser.
And Ledson is bossing the midfield. Really enjoying watch this. it's nice to see an England team play with real flair and verve, some great natural talent. That number 18 is a star in the making.

2 Posted 21/05/2014 at 19:48:27 Everton player Jonjoe Kenny hits the winning penalty!! Well done lads. Great season for the u-18 players.

3 Posted 21/05/2014 at 19:47:31 Who said England can't take pens! Skip Ledson cool as a cucumber up first and our Kenny slots home the winner. And our two did not get involved in that silly dancing either.

4 Posted 21/05/2014 at 19:53:39 A couple of well taken penalties from our lads there, well done to them. A great moment in their careers.

5 Posted 21/05/2014 at 20:11:43 The thing that stood out the most about Ledson was his leadership and heading ability. Very like Tiny Tim I'd say out jumping and out braving much bigger players. Well done lads could save us a few bob by getting into the first team, then make us a few bob when BK cashers in.

gf - Not at all mate, if I were you I would be more worried about your own team, finishing 7th in Premiership, not in Europe. Let's wait and see who they can sign to challenge for top four next season, don't hold your breath.
Everton have lost del boy from Barcelona, Lukaku is a Chelsea player and his fate will be decided by them. Gareth Barry ditto City.Watch this space.

Nonsense story links McCarthy with United
Comments (29) jump
James McCarthy is the subject of the latest tabloid transfer nonsense, with the Irishman said to be on new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal's shortlist this summer.
Sky Sports wisely pulled a similar story (starting with their customary "Sky Sports understands" line) from their website earlier today but The Express are perpetuating it, claiming that United "are prepared to offer Tom Cleverley in part-exchange" for McCarthy.
Ex-Old Trafford hardman, Roy Keane, put it best when he admitted that a move to United would be a step down for not interest McCarthy at this point:
“He's only been at Everton two minutes. [He] is at a good club in Everton, he has had a decent couple of seasons and if he keeps progressing, who knows?
“But I'm sure he's pretty happy where he is.”

517 Posted 23/05/2014 at 22:18:36 If Side-show Bob is worth 50... Cash in. Lol. Dream on Utd. Keano has it spot on. He and Barkley should be kept at Everton at any cost.

522 Posted 23/05/2014 at 22:35:47 I just wish that everyone on all the Everton related websites would get it into their heads that we will always be targeted for our diamond gems of home spun or aquired good players as long as that penniless desperado of a chairman remains at the helm of this club.
For instance there is a link on Grand old Team forum to Sky Sports News site were Martinez stated recently that the McCarthy deal would not have come off without the Fellaini money coming in.Which makes Kenwright a liar for stating we didn't need to sell Fellaini to buy McCarthy.
And as for the Abu Dabi shite... (latest is the deal was called off over non-CL qualification according to Alan Brazil) FFS.
Notice the story broke at the start of the season ticket options and ended when they closed.

523 Posted 23/05/2014 at 22:53:19 Strange that Sky backed it and then removed it. Anyone got a link to Roy's quote? He's obviously enjoying the laid back role as Assistant Manager and ITV pundit. He's letting his hair down as much as he ever will.

Harrycat ... lucky escape with Malky imo.
Money they gave him to get us promoted my teenage daughters could have spent on guys that were "hot" and got us promoted then 50 million warchest to keep us there and he blew it on crap.
Yes our owner Tan is a tw*t but end of the day we got more money to spend even now than half the Premier League clubs and so far Ole seems to be spending it wisely.
Getting promoted from the Championship is probably harder than getting relegated from the Premier League and as we've done both in the last two seasons we got to be optimistic for next year BUT ....
.... most of the real die hard , non glory hunter fans agree that it's a better craig in the lower leagues.
PL is overrated with only say 6 teams max ever likely to win it , overpriced tickets , not enough tickets for away games etc , etc.
Bring on another relegation ... Tan will feck off , we can play in blue and get 3000 tickets for away days on a rainy night during the winter at Millwall without the police batting an eyelid cos it won't be televised :-)
The saying " better to travel than arrive" has never been truer than our experience with the PL.

Brentford next season will be a bigger day out than Man U this year because anyone who wants to go will able to go regardless of who they know or how much they are willing to pay for a ticket.
Hope Brentford are more organised this time :-) (search google)
