Rugby World Cup 2011 Dil get the tissues out :'(

Bullshare - 18 Jul 2011 14:39

UK Time kick off.

Fred1new - 15 Oct 2011 12:09 - 296 of 412

Hard luck for Wales, but they played well and France played well in containing them.

But the skill levels and fitness of both sides was amazingly high.

An exciting game to watch.

Chris Carson - 15 Oct 2011 15:10 - 297 of 412

Unlucky Dil, great performance in circumstances. Must be in for a good shout for Six Nations glory.

required field - 15 Oct 2011 16:10 - 298 of 412

Dil oh deary me.....unlucky the welsh dragon.....hit the post......to me no outstanding team this time round in this world cup.......since England won it 8 years ago....not seen a better side....

Dil - 15 Oct 2011 17:18 - 299 of 412

Ebbooo lost 9-6 to Newbridge , gutted.

Dil - 15 Oct 2011 18:39 - 300 of 412

Alain Rolland's decision today was technically correct ..... his French father must be so proud of him !

Dil - 15 Oct 2011 19:10 - 301 of 412

So technically he's French and shouldn't have been on the pitch !

Rant over ... now we need Richie McCaw to be sent off in similar contraversial circumstances tomorrow , the Aussies to win by 1 point then the real final will be back on but a day early :-)

Dil - 15 Oct 2011 19:13 - 302 of 412

Off out to celebrate now .... not sure what but I'll think of something :-)

Dil - 16 Oct 2011 00:48 - 303 of 412

Found one .....

I aint English :-)

Chris Carson - 16 Oct 2011 03:25 - 304 of 412

But you wish you were? :O)

skinny - 16 Oct 2011 10:20 - 305 of 412

Dil - so far you are right about the two teams that should be in the final.

Jules - 16 Oct 2011 10:49 - 306 of 412

great win by the kiwis.... signed gutted aussie....
allez la france;-)

Martini - 16 Oct 2011 11:45 - 307 of 412

Yes Jules NZ too strong for you today. Can't see the final being a classic the French luck will surely run out.

Dil - 16 Oct 2011 12:31 - 308 of 412

Oh well we got the Aussies in a nothing match on Friday then.

6 week ban reduced to 3 for previous impeccable behaviour for Warburton. Think the sending off was more than punishment enough but the idiots on the IRB had to be shown to be backing the ref. Whole team should fly home with Warburton tomorrow ... you can have third place Jules :-)

gibby - 16 Oct 2011 20:52 - 309 of 412

well i think the welsh did really well - so well done to them - unlucky

france - i feel an upset here

KEAYDIAN - 17 Oct 2011 12:46 - 310 of 412

Ha ha ha, bye bye Wales, bye bye.

Rugby World Cup 2011: Sam Warburton's tip tackle in pictures:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/picturegalleries/8828748/Rugby-World-Cup-2011-Sam-Warburtons-tip-tackle-in-pictures.html

The referee undoubtedly acted according to the letter of the law.

As to whether there was any malicious intent or not isn't shown in the pictures. Many would say that this is the overriding factor and that it must be a bad law if 'malicious intent' isn't taken into consideration.

eg,

If it is: Red card
If it isn't: Yellow card

IMHO, Wales had their chances but missed them - paricularly the last penalty kick that went under the bar instead of over it. This obviously had nothing to do with how many men were on were not on the field. Had the kick scored then Wales would have won the game.

Dil - 17 Oct 2011 13:48 - 312 of 412

Australia's next five matches are against Wales !!!

Friday in NZ
Dec at Millenium
Jun (x3) In Oz

Bring it on !

Dil - 17 Oct 2011 13:54 - 313 of 412

Exec ... the decision was correct according to the letter of the law but it's the inconsistency in applying that law that's the problem.

A directive was also sent out within the last year about feeding the scrum. How many refs have paid any attention to that ?

Dil - 17 Oct 2011 13:57 - 314 of 412

We're still out there Keyadian unlike some :-)

KEAYDIAN - 17 Oct 2011 14:00 - 315 of 412

Bye bye Dil, lol, bye bye.
