Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

London Indies selected to showcase the best of British tv and film

This will be the UK's largest ever presence at the event, and will be the first year for the dedicated 'UK indies pavilion'. Aimed at showcasing the UK's vibrant independent production sector to the world, the launch of the pavilion will create an important new destination for buyers seeking out content from one of the world's most dynamic and creative TV markets.

As some of the shining examples of what the UK has to offer, the event will be an opportunity for Cake Entertainment in Westminster, Diverse Production and Steadfast Television both in Hammersmith, MercuryMedia International in Kensington and Chelsea, Tigerlily Films in Tower Hamlets and West Park Pictures in Lambeth, to showcase their work to an international audience, opening up potential new business partnerships.

CAKE entertainment is a children's and animated programme producer and distributor and specialises in the management of intellectual properties.

Genevieve Dexter and Tom van Waveren have recently merged their companies, Hoek, Line & Thinker Productions and CAKE entertainment, and jointly trade under the CAKE entertainment name.

CAKE Distribution is a subsidiary which currently has a catalogue of approximately 150 hours of children's and family programming with an emphasis on animation.

All production activities are taking place within Hoek, Line & Thinker Productions, which is currently involved in the production of SKUNK FU! for BBC, Super RTL, Canal J, SVT, S4C and TG4 Ireland.

CAKE entertainment seeks to partner with animation production companies and developers to raise finance via co-production structures, pre-sales in major territories for their development projects and through seeking and making production investments.

CAKE entertainment is actively looking for new projects to add to its portfolio. These should be projects that are strikingly original and commercially promising. This also means that we have a preference for projects that are more than just TV propositions alone.

Galleon Holdings PLC
21 September 2006

Galleon Holdings plc
('Galleon' or the 'Company')
Re. Major Manufacturing Contract

Further to the announcement on 7 July 2006, in which the Company stated that it
had received an initial contract for the development and manufacture of a
bespoke children's toy premium for a multi-territory in-pack promotion, Galleon
is pleased to announce today that this has led to the first manufacturing order
being placed for the supply of over 80 million units for 1.12 million (1.68M).

This first order has been placed with Galleon's wholly owned subsidiary Croco
Worldwide Sourcing Limited ('Croco') by a major United States fast moving
consumer goods company and is initially for four countries although the
promotion is intended for a global roll out.

Galleon CEO, Stephen Green, commented,

'Croco has now moved into a new level of operations. We are earning a reputation
in this sector as the worlds best product IP developers for in-pack premiums and
this is leading to strategic relationships and development deals such as this.
This is Croco's largest order to date and as it covers only four countries we
are hopeful that this will be rolled out into other territories resulting in
further orders. We will continue to keep the market informed as this promotion
rolls out.'

Well,I think this can be classed as 'a good day'.

banjomick - 22 Sep 2006 16:26 - 305 of 1609

A tick up!

StarFrog - 22 Sep 2006 16:37 - 306 of 1609

About time banjo. I thought we were begining to get moving this time last year. However, I feel the rise in sp is just a knee jerk reaction to income from the 'plastic toys in cereal packets' contract (and will probably correct back down to last weeks levels after a while). The bigger value in this company lies in the animations, cartoons and films and all the associated IPR. Can't see why investors don't see the bigger picture.

I'm still happy with the company, though. Hasn't ever put a foot wrong (IMHO). Just have to wait for the full potential to be realised.

banjomick - 22 Sep 2006 17:31 - 307 of 1609

Good heavens,a guest! Welcome StarFrog.

If you have held/added as long as I have then you would not see them in such a great light.
This year though has been a different story and Skunk Fu will bring in some much needed revenue.

Updates on Skunk Fu should start to filter through soon so we may not see any
retracement.

StarFrog - 22 Sep 2006 17:45 - 308 of 1609

Banjo - I bought my first tranch back in Sept 2003 at just slightly over 1p per share. But then we had a 100:1 share re-structuring. Bought more back in Feb 2005 at 14p. I need the sp to get up to 24p just to break even. But I'm in no rush. As I indicated earlier, I see no problems with this company in terms of management etc. and believe that I will realise a profit in the future. The real value is in the IPR.

I have posted here before, but not for a long time.

banjomick - 22 Sep 2006 21:41 - 309 of 1609

I only started buying in Feb 2004 and at slightly over 1p too, lol.

18p to break even now after further buying a while back, next few months should be very interesting.

Interesting article from last month:

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/asia/article1218431.ece

Kung Fu appears to be the thing for next year from other articles i've read so all bodes well for Skunk Fu.

banjomick - 23 Sep 2006 14:17 - 312 of 1609

From last year, the Cartoon Saloon said:

The plan for Skunk Fu! is to go for it as a whole property. That is why we partnered up with Galleon, so we could keep it alive with DVDs, toys, computer games and maybe eventually a film, said Paul Young, co-founder of Cartoon Saloon and the series co-producer."

banjomick - 25 Sep 2006 16:27 - 313 of 1609

Do you ever get the feeling our Galleon isn't very popular-lol

121k rolly over
99k of buying
