THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Is that the new way of describing him?

I hear Dave and George (the heir apparent) define him slightly differently.

i gave you the sensible answer :-)

as an mp, i'ld assuredly vote for boris, but i really don't see him as a party leader let alone pm
much as i and many others enjoy boris's public persona, i think he would have a spot of bother being taken uber-seriously by other foreign leaders ...... do you think (for example) that the swedes, germans and dutch would even start to understand his humour, let alone the russkies and chinese

Haystack - 20 Sep 2013 11:09 - 29619 of 81564

He could be the Prime Minister without being an MP. It is not a legal requirement. There have been PMs who were in the House of Lords. He wouldn't be able to do PM's questions.

Fred1new - 20 Sep 2013 11:25 - 29620 of 81564

Well Cameron has set a precedent by not answering questions at PMQs time.

Seems common practice.

MaxK - 20 Sep 2013 11:26 - 29621 of 81564

Do you think they understand Cameroon?

cynic - 20 Sep 2013 11:38 - 29622 of 81564

i'll leave you guys to your customary stupid ping-pong ...... i find it very dull

Fred1new - 20 Sep 2013 12:20 - 29623 of 81564

You will have to find a small corner and . with yourself.

Conspiracy theories are great fun and the more idiotic the better. Of course the US did not land on the Moon, MM was killed by the Kennedys, Princess Di was killed by HRH, there are aliens living amongst us, people are constantly being abducted by aliens, god exists .....

aldwickk - 20 Sep 2013 13:55 - 29628 of 81564

The speach by Robin Cook was worth seeing again

aldwickk - 20 Sep 2013 14:15 - 29629 of 81564

Haystack

So why are the Police investigating the death of Diana again ? Dr Kelly , Robin Cook don't you see the connection.

I doubt that the police are doing much investigating. Just a quick look. If you wanted to kill someone, you wouldn't try and do it via car crash in a tunnel. Too difficult to execute with the strong likelyhood of survival. The motive to kill seems absurd as well. Just a car accident involving a drunk driver and none too bright woman who didn't wear a seat belt.

Fred1new - 20 Sep 2013 14:47 - 29632 of 81564

Hays,

There are aliens.

They are all around us (you and me) and they come in all sizes.

How big is ?

aldwickk - 20 Sep 2013 14:55 - 29633 of 81564

Is that just an uninformed theory

Haystack - 20 Sep 2013 15:05 - 29634 of 81564

Controversial Ukip MEP Godfrey Bloom attended an event at the Ukip conference in Westminster on Friday that was designed to promote the advancement of women in politics. And called them all "sluts".

After two senior female Ukip members joked that they did not clean behind the fridge, as Bloom said it was where women belonged, he joyfully shouted: "This place is full of sluts."

After calling Sky News' Dan Mccaffrey a "sad little man", Bloom took off down the street pursued by reporters. He then hit Channel 4's Michael Crick over the head with a Ukip conference book and called him a "racist", before jumping into a taxi to make his escape.

Haystack - 20 Sep 2013 15:10 - 29635 of 81564

Bloom has previously said that small firms should be allowed to sack women who get pregnant. He was also the one who complained about the UK giving aid to bongobongo land.
